Verspertine

Like many other people, the art style of Verspertine was what drew me in. Not just because I am a total horn dog, but because it looked so unique and cool, I had to see what it was all about.

Same Old Brand New You

Now that is a very obscure British 00s pop reference! Anyway, the story here is very interesting in that we have known the main girl who is the star of the game since we were kids. However, she needs a place to stay, and she moves in with us. However, we soon realize that she has a new, let's just say more risqué and promiscuous attitude, and before long, we are thrust into a pretty extreme XXX situation. There may be a few translation issues here and there, but for the most part, this is a very interesting story with twists and turns.

Keeping Me Coming Back

For a lewd visual novel, Verspertine has quite a lot of content, and to be honest with you, I could not seem to find out for certain if the game was 100 percent finished or if there was more to come. This is one of those games where I felt like my choices actually mattered, and there were three endings for me to try and get. As the plot was so interesting, I found myself wanting to see all of these endings. I am pretty sure there has to be more to come here, but even if this ended up being all that this game had to offer. It is so unique, I do think it is still very easy for me to recommend to other fans of lewd visual novels.

Stopping With The Motion

Ok, so the game is not stop motion, but the character models here have a very stop motion kind of look to them. They have these thick bodies with little waists and huge butts and boobs, plus their facial features are quite striking too. I have played a ton of lewd games, and off the top of my head, I cannot think of another game that has characters that look like this. It may sound like a strange comparison, but it is kind of like if Tim Burton made a movie based on the game, Contrast! The game has animated sex scenes, and they look great with smooth animation.

Pros:

• This art style truly is unique
• I liked the exaggerated look of the characters
• The version I played had three different endings!

Cons:

• I am not sure if there will be an update with more content
• That unique art style may not be for everyone
