Trinity Trigger

Games created in the classic RPG style of the 90s are regaining a lot of popularity. Trinity Trigger is an upcoming release that is here to help scratch that itch. They've combined the look and feel of classic RPGs with a modern emphasis on fast-paced, customizable combat, making this feel like a very familiar game but with fresh and modern takes.

It's the perfect game for fans of Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, and stylized JRPGs. The environments are absolutely gorgeous, the characters seem to have a lot of depth, and the soundtrack is beautiful and immersive! The game is set to release in April of 2023, so be sure to add this one to your wishlist!

The Chosen One

In Trinity Trigger, you play as Cyan, a young man chosen by the gods to be the Warrior of Chaos. You'll set out on a grand adventure to defy fate and save the world of Trinitia from destruction. Along the way, you'll encounter Elise and Zantis, two companions who will join you on your quest to stop the Warrior of Order.

Triggers and Weapons

The enemies in this game are called Triggers. These are strange creatures that can transform into eight types of weapons, which Cyan and his companions can use to defeat their enemies. Each weapon has its own unique properties, and you can switch between them on the fly using the Weapon Wheel. Finding and exploiting an enemy's weakness is the key to victory in Trinity Trigger, so mastering the weapons of the gods is crucial.

Dungeons and Puzzles

Trinity Trigger features a variety of dungeons called Armas, which are towers made from the fallen weapons of the gods. You'll need to solve puzzles and defeat enemies to progress through each Arma. The dungeons are filled with hidden passages and secrets, so exploring every nook and cranny is essential. If you get stuck, talking to townsfolk can give you valuable clues to uncover Trinitia's mysteries.

Local Co-op

Trinity Trigger can be played solo or with up to two friends in local co-op. You'll be able to play with your friends and take on the game's challenges together. With three playable characters, each with their own unique skills and abilities, you can create a strategy that suits everyone's playstyle, and get the most out of your party. With many JRPGs in this style being a solo-player experience, we're excited to see how local co-op will change the playstyle!

Accessible and Rewarding

Trinity Trigger was inspired by classic RPGs of yesteryear, but it incorporates modern features to make it accessible and rewarding for players of all ages. The vibrant art style is heavily reminiscent of classic RPGs, but it's also fast-paced and action-packed. Combat is easy to learn but hard to master, so there's always a challenge for us to overcome.

While the game is yet to be released, with everything we currently know, we're giving it a tentative 8/10. Trinity Trigger is gearing up to be a fun and exciting action role-playing game that combines classic RPG gameplay with modern features.
