Tech Store Simulator

I love and I mean love the idea of Tech Store Simulator, but this is a game that I think needs some fine tuning in order for it to be great. The developer has some neat ideas and this is a decent job simulator style of game. However, I can see why the flaws that the game has may get in the way of the enjoyment for some people. For me, I was able to get past those and have some fun with the game. I wanted to share my experience to try and help you decide if this is a game that you should check out.

Living The Dream

The idea of Tech Store Simulator is the same as it is in games like Powerwash Simulator and House Flipper (why do I always reference those two games?) the idea is that you have always dreamed of having your own tech store and now that dream has become a reality. There is not so much of a “story” here for you to play through, it is more that you are just trying to live out this dream of opening and running your own store. I tend to find that with games like this, I have my own story running in my head if you get what I am saying.

The Customer Is Always An Asshole!

I have worked retail and it sucked, if you have worked retail or if you work retail right now, you know it sucks! Tech Store Simulator is kind of fun in the way that it has you dealing with the customers. You have to deal with assholes and very rude customers quite regularly, but where this game was kind of like therapy for me was with the shoplifters. Hey, people will try and steal from your store and you can just flat out 300 Spartan Kick them right in the chest to put them in their place. I would almost beg for someone to steal from me so that I could put a beating on them.

Working Hard Or Working Smart?

There are a great deal of things that I do like about Tech Store Simulator. You need to order your stock and then you have to decide what the best way to display the stock is so that customers will be more likely to buy it. The whole shop planning and organizing was something that I legit enjoyed. Having to place your orders and try to decide what kind of price you should offer stuff at so that you can make a nice profit, but at the same time, not turn your customers off by being overpriced. I love this kind of thing and when the sales do start rolling in, it is very exciting and gets you pumped up to keep on playing the game.

A Hard Day's Work!

Now, while there are things that I do like about Tech Store Simulator, there are some things that really do need some work. To start with your deliveries are just thrown into the street and you have to go out of the store and take one box at a time into the store, unpack it, display it, price it and it takes forever, they need to get rid of your stock being dumped outside.

Also, you cannot just simply stack your stuff, you have to throw it, which drives my OCD nuts. Other things like the customers who want to buy more than one thing, having to make an individual purchase for each item can be frustrating. There are too many of these little frustrating things that all add up and can start to make the game more of a chore than it should be.

Pros:

• I loved and I mean loved kicking the customers
• There is a really addictive quality about this game
• Setting up your store is fun
• If they fix the issues, this could end up being pretty awesome

Cons:

• The game has too many frustrating elements
• They need to add more content to the game
