Anyway, SQUID GUYS is a straightforward party game that brings the traditional 'red light, green light' game into a digital medium. Could that be any fun?

You won't find many games that are mechanically so simple. Players will run forward towards an evil doll when he's got his head turned and stop when he's looking towards the field. Those that move while the figure is fixated on the players will swiftly have a bullet placed in their brain. And that's game over. Players that survive will continue until one remains and is crowned the ultimate champion.

Honestly, SQUID GUYS is an attempt to capitalize on a scene that made the show famous. But we can't say that it isn't a good bit of fun. The game is not diverse, and it's not going to hook you in for long. However, it's one of those party games that everyone would be happy to download for a night to play together. The price point is decent for an evening of entertainment, so why not?

Having said that, we wonder how long it will be until the lawsuit, given its striking resemblance in aesthetical style to the TV show. But that's not for us players to worry about. For now, we can get a couple of entertaining hours out of this average battle royale game. We'll leave the inevitable grunt work to the developers.
