Sex Standing is a lewd parody game that is made for a really specific audience and I am part of that audience. Look, the reviews for this game are not good! However, if you like the game that this is a parody of, I highly recommend that you give it a try! You see, this pretty much falls into the, it is so bad, it is good category! It is the kind of thing that will frustrate the hell out of you and then make you laugh at how weird and just flat out crazy this whole thing is.

Would Kojima Approve?

What we have here with Sex Standing is a lewd parody of the game, Death Stranding. That game in itself really is divisive with some people loving it and others thinking that it is too weird in both the way it plays and its story. That is very much the case here, I will flat out say, that if you did not like Death Stranding, you will not like this! This is a game made for those of us who enjoyed Death Stranding, you have to like that game in order to appreciate this and tolerate the less than amazing things that it has going on!

The FedEx Of Sex

I will admit that the story here is not great, but Sex Standing has a premise that I sure got a chuckle out of. Much like the game this is a parody of, we play the role of a delivery person. Only, in this game, we play the role of a sex courier! She needs to try and unite the communities by traveling to them and offering her sexual services. Look, I never once said that the story made sense, but to be fair, most Hideo Kojima games are hard to follow too so perhaps this was all done on purpose.

Hey, At Least She is Hot!

One thing that I do feel that Sex Standing gets right is the XXX content. The main character that we play as is very hot and you get to see her get banged pretty regularly. I think that most of the effort here went into the sex scenes. Some people are very critical of these, but I think that the game is far hotter than people give it credit for. The animation may be short loops, but it more than gets the job done. I am not saying that the game looks amazing, but it is far better than people give it credit for.

Getting A Hold Of It All

I can see why some people who played Death Stranding did not like it, it was a very tough game to get the best out of. Sex Standing is also a game that is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but that is mainly because of the poor game design. It has some horrible platforming; it takes forever to line your jump up and then it is 50/50 if you will make it. The shooting in this game is wild! I swear that the bullets just go wherever they want as the aiming is so janky! The sniper rifle is one of the hardest weapons I have ever tried to use in a game! The thing is, the game was so janky and hard to get to grips with, that I just kind of had fun with it and laughed at it all.

I would certainly not argue with anyone who told me that they played Sex Standing and hated it as this is one hell of a janky and awkward experience. However, I had fun with this, it only cost a couple of bucks and as someone who put many, many hours into Death Stranding, I got a huge kick out of this parody. While it may have turned out a bit more on the janky side than I would have liked, I do have to give a lot of credit for the variety on offer here with the gameplay! If you liked Death Stranding and like lewd games, give this a try, you are who this has been made for.

As Sex Standing was only a couple of bucks and I tend to get a kick out of lewd parodies of games, I decided to take the plunge and give it a try. Now, I watched the trailer before I played this and I pretty much got what I expected and to be honest with you, that is what I think is a huge part of the problem with this game! You have to have the right expectations for something like this, how you can watch the trailer and be surprised by what you are getting is beyond me!

Connecting Communities

You may not have clicked to this right away, but Sex Standing is a lewd parody of Death Stranding and I think that is pretty damn hilarious. The story here is that we are playing the role of this hot woman who is working as a sex courier. What the heck is a sex courier you are asking? Well, she travels this wasteland of a world that we are living in offering sexual services to somehow bring these communities together. It is so weird and absurd that I got a huge kick out of it.

I Appreciate The Effort

One thing that I will give Sex Standing a lot of credit for is the variety. What we have here is a 3rd person open world style of game that has shooting, platforming, exploration, and even a bit of puzzle solving as well. Is any of this stuff actually done well? I would have to say no, but that is what kind of adds to the game's clunky charm. You go to a new settlement type place, chat with people and it is there that you will get given your quests which usually revolve around doing something for someone and then having sex with them.

Not Straight Down The Middle

I have to say that from a gameplay point of view for the first 20 or so minutes, Sex Standing was one of the most frustrating experiences that I have had with a lewd game in quite some time. The reason for this is that things are not quite centered. So, when you are shooting, especially when you are aiming down sights, it is like you always shoot a bit to the right. The same can be said for the platforming which is the most frustrating aspect of the game. You try to line up a jump, but she always jumps slightly to the right! It takes a very long time to get used to and it can be an incredibly frustrating experience.

I have read many, many complaints about Sex Standing and if I am being honest, I agree with nearly all of them. However, one complaint that I do have to disagree with this the presentation. I like the main character, she is hot! I also like the wasteland type setting of the game and while the sex scenes are just animations that are looped, this happens in many lewd games, plus I think they are pretty good. My favorite ones were the solo scenes which were kind of like hidden ones that I had to find, but thankfully there was a decent guide.

By the time I got to the end of Sex Standing, I felt like I pretty much got what I paid for. At the end of the day, this is a cheap XXX game and one that is very clunky and only takes a couple of hours to complete. I paid like 2.50 for it and I feel like I got my money’s worth out of it. The game has a decent setting and I liked the design of the girl that we played at. However, the gunplay and the platforming are some of the most frustrating you will ever play.
