Sex Camera Action!

I will give you some free advice regarding Sex Camera Action! And that is to just take this game for an epic XXX scene viewer. This is a fun lewd visual novel game that has a great premise for a story, but this from what I have read has a script that at the very least was translated by AI and as a result, the plot is a bit hard to follow. It is a real shame too because the story is about a guy starting work in the porn industry and that is a freaking great idea for a story in a lewd game.

Erik The Not So Great

The character that we play as in Sex Camera Action! Is a young man called Erik. Erik has somehow lost six jobs in one month and is flat broke, he talks of a curse, but how the hell do you lose that many jobs in such a short space of time? He gets a call from his uncle who lives in Malibu and runs a porno movie company out of a big mansion and he offers Erik a job as an assistant. Erik takes the job and meets a whole collection of interesting characters ranging from the people that work there to an up and coming porn star and an established porn legend who is actually a real sweetheart.

An AI Narrator

We all know that video game companies are dabbling with AI when it comes to writing the story and that is certainly the case with Sex Camera Action! The idea of this story is fantastic and could be a lot of fun, but this is one case where you can tell that AI had a big hand in the story or at the very least, the translation. I say this because, for such a fun and interesting premise, things are over-explained and have a really sterile and matter of fact way about them. When there are jokes, they feel forced and make very little sense. It really sucks as I think that the whole idea of Erik finding his feet in the world of adult entertainment has the makings of a great story.

Quiet On The Set

For the most part, Sex Camera Action! Is a standard lewd visual novel where you are given various choices to make. However, there are a few parts where you have to click on a certain place, go somewhere, and get something so it does have a few point-and-click adventure style elements to it as well. There was one part of the game that went on for about ten years about freaking gluten (no doubt the work of the AI) and I honestly had a hard time paying attention here. It is easy enough to fumble your way through, to be honest with you as I am not so sure how much variety there is in what you see in comparison to the choices you make.

Marry Me, Cleo!

While the story of Sex Camera Action! May be hard to follow thanks to the helping hand from AI. I am sure the one thing that we can all agree on about this game is that it looks amazing. They have done a great job at making this place seem like a fancy Malibu mansion and the characters look like the kind of people who would work in the porn industry and also be porn stars. My favorite character design was Cleo who was the more experienced porn starlet, there was just something about her that drove me wild! While the characters and the setting look good, this game also has some nice and smooth animation as well and they also let you get a bit hands on with the porn as you progress in the game which I thought was a nice touch.

Pros:

• I fell in love with Cleo right away
• They have a great idea for a story here
• The animation in the XXX scenes is great

Cons:

• The story is handled by AI and is so hard to get through
• The gameplay is a little on the basic side even for a lewd visual novel
