Redneck Party

Well, it looks like this here is a Redneck Party! Ever wanted to know what it was like to not give a damn about rules, regulation or general health and safety in regards to racers? Well, if so, you’ve come to the right place with this game. Take control of your own redneck and build yourself a truck, so you can compete in some seriously crazy races. Its up to you to build as big and bizarre as possible with some unique and realistic mechanics, and take your brethren to the races before you bust open a beer at the end of it all. Let’s explore.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Redneck Party is similar to that of what you may find in Restaurant Flipper or Thief Simulator, but with a little bit of Grand Theft Auto 5’s vehicle modification thrown in for good measure. You take control of a redneck and play in first person as you modify and race your own vehicle until you become the biggest and baddest racer around.

Is that all of it? No. You can also get wrecked on cheap beer, become the most loved guy around and pick up some fine country ladies to keep yourself warm at night. This game is all about beating your chest in front of the other guys and making sure they know who the king of this holler is.

There is a resource management aspect to becoming the big dog. You have to make sure you keep winning and keep gaining funds while you grow your reputation.

Visuals

The visuals have that telltale smooth, shiny look that a lot of games have these days. I found creating my own monster truck to be, not only mechanically stimulating, but also visually. You cut the parts off, bolt new parts on and paint it all when your done with a level of detail that I really wasn’t expecting but was really glad to see.

Vehicle Modification

Now, I did mention this in the gameplay, but it’s really important I hit on how strangely satisfying modifying the vehicle is. This isn’t a case of selecting an upgrade and then it magically clicks into place, you have to go int there, cut the thing out and physically replace it yourself.

It may not seem like a particularly interesting thing but I found it to add a fantastic amount of depth and it really engaged me in a way I wasn’t expecting. If you are looking for a game that’s a bit more like Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 with its attention to detail, you’ll find this game hits that note perfectly.
