Project Werewulf

Project Werewulf is one of those games that I had high hopes for before I played it, but at the same time, this did feel a bit like it was too good to be true if you get what I am saying. There are many porn games that try super hard to be more like a big-time full-release AAA game, and I feel that is what we have going on here. This is not another lewd visual novel or a lewd RPG. What we have here is a full 3rd-person shooter adventure game, and I can tell you right now, I was blown away by how great this turned out to be!

An Isolated Resurrection

Before I get to what the actual story of Project Werewulf is, I want to talk about the vibe and atmosphere that this game has. I have to think that the developer of this game is a big Alien fan, as this game has some very Alien vibes to the way it all feels and looks. I am talking about two things specifically, first of all, the awesome game, Alien: Isolation, but I also think that there are a lot of comparisons to the fourth movie, Alien: Resurrection, which is an underrated gem and a damn fine movie. If you like the Alien franchise, I am certain that this will click with you.

Trapped And Hunted!

The actual story of Project Werewulf is something that I thought was a whole lot of fun. We play the role of a chick who has been captured and imprisoned on this strange space station. A space station where some weird experiments are going down. Well, as always happens on a space station where experiments are happening. The experiments get loose! Now, not only do we have to try and escape the space station where we were taken, we now also have to figure out what these werewolf looking monsters are and why they are so determined to capture us. If you like sci-fi horror, I am certain that this will be something you really enjoy. Especially as the lore is expanded thanks to other characters as well as items you find.

Locked, Loaded, And Hot!

With a game that is trying to hard like Project Werewulf, you may be wondering if it sticks the landing as far as the gameplay goes! Well, I would have to say that for the most part, this really does. The game is a sandbox-style setup, where you are able to explore while you complete the missions, and the running around and shooting are solid enough. There are times when things can get a little stiff, but in general, I was having fun the whole time I was playing this. I felt like the game was always pushing me forward, and sometimes, it could be pretty damn tough too, especially if the enemies are far away, as the hit boxes at distance can be a little iffy.

Something Evil’s Lurking In The Dark

In addition to the gameplay being solid and more like a “real” game than a typical lewd game, Project Werewulf also looks great, too! Our heroine is a total babe who can be dressed up in different clothing, or be completely buck naked if you like. I thought it was cool how she had a more ripped look than your typical bimbo. The monster designs are really cool. I would argue that the werewolf-style creatures are the coolest I have seen since the awesome game, The Quarry. Of course, we do have to touch on the XXX content, which, as you are being hunted by monsters, I am sure you know what this is going to be! However, it is done well, smoothly animated, and it does fit in with the overall tone of the game.

Pros:

• I loved playing as this tough chick
• The monster designs are so cool!
• The game is always pushing you forward
• I thought the sci-fi horror blend was very well done

Cons:

• The hit boxes are sometimes a little suspect
• The control, for the most part, works, but on occasion, it is a little stiff
