Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake

With a long list of games in the franchise’s series, the long awaited Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has fans chomping at the bit for its release, which as of now should be sometime between April 2022 and March 2023. While this game is a remake of the original, which has been dubbed by most fans as a masterpiece, we can expect updated graphics and animations as well as a myriad of other features which should only lift this game to the next level, if that’s possible of course.

Those unaware of the famed game series will be immersed into a world where dark magic can change the course of history, defeating even the most well built armies and making them somewhat obsolete. As the young prince your task is to return the sands of time to the hourglass while fighting off evil at all turns. Those un initiated to the game are in for a pleasant awakening, if they can get their hands on a copy when it finally drops.

Storyline

While you may have played the game before, or other versions in the series, there is no doubt that the storyline within this game is masterfully put together.

If you have little knowledge of ancient Egypt or base your entire opinion of the era on the Gyllenhaal-movie, you will still find this game to be a highly thought out gameplay experience which won’t disappoint. While some have looked to similar style games such as the Assassins Creed franchise, The Prince of Persia has its own unique feel that only comes from generations of re-vamping and editing through different titles. The result, a highly immersive experience which has you marvelling at the mythical adventure your character finds themselves at the heart of. While a dark evil is unleashed upon the kingdom you alone have the ability to return the world to what it was by harnessing the sands of time, only once you have returned them to the hourglass.

Features and Updates

While most remakes of games add little in terms of new story context, the updated features such as graphics and audio which are elegantly paired throughout the game create an intense and exciting experience. Updates to combat scenes and animations will take a great game from years ago and bring it to the forefront with modern day technology and mechanics. We can expect less glitches throughout cut scenes and combat, a smoother transition in and out of locations as well as better in game lighting and interactive scenes.

Atmosphere and location setting are crucial for games of this genre, therefore its safe to say attention to detail in these aspects of the game will be at the highest echelon of importance for the developers in creating a new experience of a time tested game.
