Poop Killer - Flush or Die

I was laughing the whole time I was playing Poop Killer - Flush or Die! This is a first-person game that is like a throwback to classic grungy horror movies, and that is something that I just get a huge and I mean huge kick out of. This is actually a sequel to another bat “poop” crazy game and I think this one here is the best yet, although, I do prefer the video store setting of the previous game. Anyway, I have played all the way through both modes that this has to offer, and to say that this game clicked with me right from the start is a massive understatement.

Back In 85

The 1985 setting of Poop Killer - Flush or Die is something that I love as I am a kid of the 80s, born in 81. The game takes place in a fast food joint, and we have two stoner guys called Bob and Case who are going about their “business” when they end up at a fast food joint. So far, nothing out of the ordinary has happened, but when someone takes a dump in a broken toilet and it does not flush away, the poop killer shows up to stalk them and throw his death dealing poop at them. That, my friends, is cinematic writing at its very best. I love the whole retro vibes that the story has, it is impossible not to have fun with it!

Setting The Tone

I love the grungy and, dare I even say, janky visuals that the game has to offer. Poop Killer - Flush or Die is a very cheesy looking game, but that is by design. The developer is going for that low budget horror flick of the 80s style, and they more than achieve it here. In some ways, it has a similar kind of style and vibe as something like Postal 2 from the early 00s, although this one here is set in 1985. The poop killer is freaking hilarious in how crazy his design is, it is literally a walking toilet who throws big massive turds at you and it is funny as hell, well funny as long as you love toilet humor of course. I do also have to mention the sound design as the voice acting is over the top and completely fitting of the game.

I Got Two Words For Ya: Flush It!

The gameplay of Poop Killer - Flush or Die is all done from the first-person and you are basically on the run from the poop killer. It has first-person shooter elements, so you can defend yourself. The game is on the easy side, and you are probably looking at around an hour or so to play through the whole story, but this is way more of an experience than the short play time suggests. Walking around, exploring and then getting poop thrown at you may not sound entertaining, but this game honestly grabs you right from the start and does not let go until the end. I can see why this has become a popular game on streaming, as seeing people's reactions to just how crazy this is almost as much fun as playing the game yourself.

Working 9 To 5 To Survive

There is also a survival mode in Poop Killer - Flush or Die that I want to talk about. Here, you are working in the same place that the poop killer was birthed and the idea here is that you have to work in the place and the more tasks that you complete, the more time you will add, but if that timer goes all the way down, the poop killer will strike! There are many tasks that you need to complete, like cleaning the floors, the bathroom, and so on, but it is like all of the customers and the BS that they bring into this fast food joint are trying to ruin your day! This is a super fun mode, and I would love to see it fleshed out a bit more, as I found it to be quite addictive.

Pros:

• The poop killer is a legendary character at this point
• I got a huge kick out of the 80s vibes
• This is janky, but janky in a super fun way
• The survival mode is very addictive and fun

Cons:

• I like this game, but the fast food setting is not as cool as the video store
• It may be too much “toilet humor” for some people
