Pocket Campfire

It may be simple and it may be weird, but I can see Pocket Campfire being a really big hit with some people. This is a lewd parody game and it is kind of strange in that on one hand I found this to be a very charming kind of experience. However, the lewd stuff here is something that I kind of find pretty horrifying, but horrifying in a funny way if that makes sense? I do not think this is the kind of game that is going to be getting anyone off, but it is still a game that is a lot of fun to play, especially if you are a fan of the franchise.

Gotta Befriend Them All

As you have probably already figured out, Pocket Campfire is a lewd Pokémon game and one of the many Pokémon porn games that have popped up over the last few years. This one has a solid lineup of Pokémon with a few of my favorites being Vulpix, Zoroark, and Lucario. They have a good mixture of Pokémon and they as you would expect from a Pokémon porn game, have been sexed up to a ridiculous degree!

Welcome To My Camp

The premise of the story in Pocket Campfire is kind of fun. We play the role of a camper who has this camping spot that is great for finding fruit and stuff to cook with and as our cooking is so delicious, wild “Mons” will show up and we can try and get them to stay at our camp. There are bits of dialogue here and there with the “Mons” and while it is not award winning stuff or anything like that, I did find it to be a lot of fun and I got a kick out of the various Pokémon references that would be thrown in during these conversations. The end goal is to just try and get as many of these “Mons” as possible into your camp and of course, get to know them on an intimate level if you get what I am saying.

Catching Fruit For The Win

The gameplay of Pocket Campfire is very simple, but there is an addictiveness to the simplicity here that I really did like. The first part of the gameplay is to get your food items, these can be found in holes at random times, but for the most part, you have to play a fun mini-game where fruit drops from the top of the trees and you have to catch it in the basket. It is kind of like Gremlins on the Atari 2600 or Kaboom. Once you make food, “Mons” will show up and you can interact with them and chat with them to get to know them better. You do the right things and you will unlock a lewd scene with the Mon. You do this for all the Mons and add them to your collection.

Not What I Was Expecting

I have certainly played a great deal of Pokémon porn games and Pocket Campfire is one that I can say looks great on one hand. The game is bright, colorful and the Mons do actually look like the Pokémon we know and love. However, for as good as the game looks, the XXX content is not for me, I do not need to see Vulpix getting railed or Zoroark bent over showing her business. Plus, there is a male and female dynamic in the game too where you can change genders. The game looks great, but the lewd content here is not for me. As crazy as this sounds, I would probably have preferred this to be a non-lewd Pokémon game!

Pros:

• I liked the premise of the game
• The fruit catching mini-game was fun and addictive
• I liked how there was a bit of a random nature to the gameplay
• The game had a very chill vibe which I liked

Cons:

• The XXX content was rather off-putting for me
• While I enjoyed it, I do think a little more content would not have hurt
