PASEC

PASEC is a lewd action game that is still being worked on as I write this, but I did spend some quality time with the first release of this recently. You can tell that this is clearly a huge passion project for the developer and I truly do wish them well with it. Right now, there is not a ton of content in the game and it does have a few technical issues, but I can see the potential shining through all the bug guts here. I am pretty sure I have done all that can be done in the game so far and I do feel that it seems more like a demo than a first release.

A Sister In A Creepy Research Facility

There was not much in the way of story in the build of PASEC that I played, but I still dug into what was being done here. It is like a sci-fi horror movie and the whole abandoned research facility and the creatures left behind do give me some Resident Evil vibes and maybe even a bit of Blue Stinger as well. We play a young woman who is trying to find her sister who is missing in this creepy research facility where they are doing all kinds of experiments on creepy creatures! We are not only trying to find our sister, we are trying to get out of here without getting ravaged by these horny monsters too!

Lock And Load M’fer!

While there is not much in the way of content in PASEC as I write this, what is here does show a great deal of promise. This is a 2D action game, and we move from left to right, blasting creepy looking bug monsters that get in our way as we progress. There are boss type battles that you will encounter, and when you die, this is how you get your XXX scene. The control feels pretty good so far. and you start with a weak handgun style of weapon, and then you get a machine gun as you progress, which lets you mow down enemies. There is a “god mode” that you can use, but what is weird is that while you are super powerful, you can also die. It is fun stuff, I just wish that there was more of it, but what is here has certainly got me interested.

In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream

I get some Alien vibes from this research facility, maybe even a bit of the Alien 3 video game. As you can see, PASEC goes for a cool pixel art style that really does look awesome, the main chick and the monsters have a ton of personality, and the quality of the animation even at this early stage is very well done. Now, the chick may be cute, but the XXX content is super gross, one of the scenes has this bug that kind of looks like a cockroach on top of a chick putting some kind of tentacle into her mouth. It is gross and disgusting, but man I love it, I just do not find it remotely sexy. However, if you are into tentacle porn games, you will probably have fun with this.

Further Research Is Needed

It is kind of fitting that PASEC takes place in a terrifying research facility as this game needs a lot of work. In the intro, I said that this is like a demo and that is because the version I played lasted around 20 minutes tops and that is just gameplay time. This is a rather buggy game right now, I had more than a few crashes and it was random if it would actually save my progress as well. When the game would crash, it would shut the whole game down and on one occasion, I had to restart my computer! I am sure that these technical issues will be worked on, but I think that they need to fix these issues before adding more content to the game.

Hey, the game may need a lot of work, but I can still see a lot of potential here and I think if the developer keeps tinkering away on this, PASEC could end up being something really cool. The game has a pretty neat sci-fi/horror setting and the story does have something about it that I do like. However, the technical issues may prevent you from having fun with this, I got lucky in that I never experienced the crashing until I had played it for a bit, but from what I have heard, some people have not been as lucky.

Pros:

• I liked the main character
• The story is neat if you like sci-fi horror
• The pixel art is really cool and nicely animated
• If you are into gross monsters, you will get a kick out of this

Cons:

• The crashes are insane, PC restarting crashes we are talking
• Even if you avoid the crashes, there is not much content here
