I would say that News Desk is a lewd game that gets like 95 percent of what it does perfectly right! This was just an awesome time and a game that had me smiling the whole time I was playing through it. What I thought was neat about this game was the way that it mixes so many things together to make it all work. We have a fun story with great visuals, fun deckbuilding and card combat gameplay, and there is even a trainer and corruption element going on as well. This is not a quick and easy lewd game; this is for those of you who want something hot, but who also want something with some real substance to it as well.

One Job, Two News Anchors

I got a huge kick out of the story that News Desk is telling, and I cannot think of another lewd game that has a setting like this. We play the role of a guy called Garrick Reynolds, and we are a news anchor alongside our co-anchor, Cassandra Hamilton. We have a great relationship with Cassandra, but our news station has been bought out, and the new people in charge only want one news anchor, meaning that one of us is getting fired. The idea of the story is that we have these two people who are pretty cutthroat, and the story is basically how they are willing to do anything to make sure that they are the ones getting the job, but Cassandra has a massive weakness.

That Is Some Daughter You Have There

You see, the twist of News Desk is that as we have these two people who are willing to do anything to get what they want. Cassandra has a daughter who is of college age, and Garrick has the great idea that he can try and corrupt her and her mother to try and manipulate the situation so that he becomes the only news anchor in the city. This walks the fine line of being cheesy as hell, funny, and also some pretty epic corruption and trainer style elements to the story as well. This is a bit of a slow burn, and I do think you have to give the story your full attention to really appreciate it.

Playing The Hand That You Are Dealt

Let me start by saying, I loved the deckbuilding and card-based gameplay of News Desk. The game has you building a deck of cards as you progress, and then after each scene/scenario, you take part in a card battle. There are easily 100 card battles in the game, and how hard these are all depends on the deck that you have built. Now, I get that some will read that and be like, nope, that is not for me and I get it. However, if you do like deckbuilding card games, there is a lot of fun to be had here. There is also a corruption system, as well, where you have to build up various stats that will help you with your diabolical plan to corrupt Cassandra and her daughter, to ensure you are the only news anchor at the station.

The News A 10!

Visually, News Desk is just an absolutely gorgeous looking game. This game has some of the best-looking 2D art I have seen in a while. It is nice and bright, and the characters show a ton of personality. Even when you are not looking at an XXX scene, the game looks great. The sex scenes that you unlock are awesome, and as the story is so well done, I felt that it made the sex scenes when they would happen feel a bit more earned if that makes sense. Cassandra is a total babe, and seeing the way that you basically take control of her and get to have all this hot sex with her was so much fun, plus she is a redhead and redheads are a something I am a massive fan of.

Pros:

• Cassandra is a total babe and a bit of a mean girl
• I loved the whole art style that this game offered
• The deckbuilding and card combat appealed to me a lot
• I liked the corruption nature of the story

Cons:

• The gameplay style is not going to be for everyone
• I did feel that the story lost a little steam towards the end
