Monster Girl Town

There was no way that I was not going to review Monster Girl Town! I am a massive monster girl fan, and pretty much any game that actually has monster girls in the title is going to get my attention. This one also has some really cool-looking 2D pixel art, so that was also something that greatly appealed to me. This is a pretty short experience, but it is one that is worth it if you are in the mood for some XXX pixel art, monster girl action.

The Fog Is Rising

There is not much in the way of story going on in Monster Girl Town, but I do feel that the premise they lay out at the start of the game more than gets the job done. Basically, there is this strange town that is covered with fog, and we have been sent to see what is going on. Well, turns out that this fog is not good, not good at all, and the town is now full of monster girls, and we are basically trying to get out of there with our life intact. Again, it is not the best story, but as an excuse for getting railed by horny monster girls, I can accept it.

Taking A Stroll From Left To Right

I am kind of at a loss in regard to what category I should put Monster Girl Town into. Coming into this, I thought that it was some kind of side-scrolling RPG or adventure game. However, it is more of a walking simulator as all you do is walk from left to right, interact with a shrine, and then try to avoid the monster girls. You can run and hide if they spot you, but if they get their hands on you, well, it's game over, my friend. That is pretty much all of the gameplay that there is here, and your goal is to see the few sex scenes that there are with the monster girls. On paper, this sounds like a very shallow and easy experience, but there is something that makes this very challenging!

What Is This 1991?

The thing that makes Monster Girl Town way more challenging than it needs to be is the save system. For whatever reason, this game does not offer you checkpoints, but it does allow you to save your progress. However, it is very, very easy to get captured, banged by the monster girl, and then it is game over, and all of your progress is gone. If I am being honest, I spent at least a quarter of my time with the game, replaying stuff that I had not managed to save before I got taken by one of the monster girls! I get that this is to make the game longer and make it more challenging. Yet, I feel it is more than likely going to turn many people off, as it can be frustrating to have to do the same things over and over again, due to the lack of a checkpoint system.

Quality over Quantity!

Visually, Monster Girl Town looks awesome, well, it does if you are into lewd pixel art, of course. The fog-covered town in the game is not all that detailed, but I do like the fog; there is just something about it that gives me an eerie, Silent Hill vibe, and that is pretty awesome. Now, there are not a ton of monster girl designs in the game, and there is also not a ton of actual sex scenes; however, the facesitting scene alone makes this worth the price of admission if you ask me! The only thing is, I realized quite early on that I was seeing the same scenes over and over again so this did make me a little less excited to keep pushing forward, especially with the lack of a checkpoint system!

Pros:

• The monster girls are awesome
• There was something about the fog that I liked
• The premise of the story is fun
• Hey, you can never go wrong with big booty monster girl facesitting!

Cons:

• The lack of checkpoints is extremely frustrating
• There is not actually much content in this game
