Maid Cafe

The main character in Maid Café is pretty much the luckiest SOB in the whole freaking world! He is living my dream that is for sure! What we have here is a lewd visual novel/dating sim kind of game and it is one of the most charming and fun ones that I have seen so far this year. I will say that as I write this, the game is still being worked on and is due for release at some point in summer 2023. However, I have seen and experienced enough that I feel comfortable talking about some of the things that I think are really cool.

Where Is This Café And How Can I Get A Job There?

As I said, our main character in Maid Café is living my dream. His name is Michael and he is a pastry chef who dreams of being the best pastry chef around and winning competitions. Now I fancy myself as a bit of a pasty chef so I got into this story right away. However, as this is a lewd game that we are talking about, Michael is going to come into contact with many attractive young ladies that he can get to know better and have a lot of fun with too!

Ok, so I am about to kind of complain about something, but it is more of a halfhearted complaint so please stay with me. I love the fact that Maid Café is a story about a guy who wants to be a pastry chef and hook up with various attractive ladies. That alone is enough to win me over and be a fun story for us to play through. However, this game also has some supernatural elements as there is a succubus and some other weird stuff as well. I have to be honest and say that while I am 99/100 down for a succubus and some kind of supernatural twist, I do wonder if this game would have been better had it played it more straight and left the supernatural stuff alone or to its own sequel?

Showing Her A Good Time

I think that calling Maid Café just a lewd visual novel is a bit harsh. Ok, so the way that the game plays is like your standard lewd visual novel as you make choices to move things forward. However, the game is also a bit of a dating sim as well as you can make money and use the money to take the girls out on a date and get them gifts so that you can get to know them better and so that they like you more. There are a ton of girls in this game which is great as it gives you a very good reason to play through it multiple times.

I am sorry, that was crude and disgusting even for me! However, what is certainly not disgusting is the amazing visuals that Maid Café has. This game has some amazing character designs and while I was complaining about the supernatural stuff before, it at least looks great. However, I am much more of a fan of the more realistic looking stuff in the game from the girls to the places you go on dates and to the kitchen as well. Some of the lewd content is animated and from what I have seen as of me writing this, it is fantastic! I just love how bright, colorful, and vibrant this game is!

Pros:

• I love playing as a playboy pastry chef
• The game has a nice selection of cute girls
• I liked the dating sim elements
• There are many choices you can make and lots of replay value here

Cons:

• Is the supernatural stuff necessary
• They talk about DLC, but I need to know more in regards to what it is!
