Lust for Adventure

I was intrigued by Lust for Adventure because it is a lewd parody of another game that I am a big fan of (well I was a big fan of for a while) and I have to say that as far as lewd RPGs go, this one is not bad at all. I ended up laying most of what was available here and while I do think you need to have an appreciation and love for more old school RPGs, those that do I feel will have a good and entertaining time here.

This Sure Is Crafty!

In case you have not figured it out by now, Lust for Adventure is a lewd parody of the World of Warcraft series. The person that made this game is clearly a huge fan of the WOW franchise so anyone else that is a fan is sure to get a kick out of the many references that are here. Now, I will say that it does help if you are a fan of the series as some of the references may go over your head otherwise. However, I will also say that the game is a decent fantasy story at its core.

Picking Your Warrior

While I got a kick out of the various WOW references that Lust for Adventure had to offer. I thought that the overall idea of picking our own warrior from a few different classes and then heading out on our adventure. I have to say that I had a hard time figuring out if there was a big overarching story above us being a warrior that is heading out on an adventure and looking for gold as well as sex. Some of the stuff is a little long winded here so that may be a turn off for some people.

Hitting It From The Side

What we have here is a side view 2D RPG and I think that Lust for Adventure succeeds with what it is trying to do. The core gameplay here feels like something I would have played on my dad’s PC back in the 90s, all be it with a lot more nudity and hardcore sex! Anyway, we talk with different NPCs that will give us quests to go on as well as flesh out this world a little bit. New equipment, new tasks, new weapons, new quests, and so on are all dished out as we progress through the game. The combat is very basic and turn based, actually, the whole game has a kind of “basic” feel to it, but I liked it as it felt like a throwback to a bygone era.

The Straight And Narrow

The biggest negative that I have read about Lust for Adventure from other gamers is that much of the content here is gay themed. I do not have a problem with that and to be fair, most other people do not seem to either. However, this game is not tagged as being mainly gay themed. The XXX content here is great and there is some straight content that is great too, but it does lean more towards the gay side which is not a bad thing, but they could have been a bit more forthcoming with it.

Pros:

• I liked the WOW references
• You can create and customize your own character
• I liked how it had an old school soul
• This is great if you love gay lewd games!

Cons:

• Some may not like that there is more gay than straight lewd content
• While I liked the gameplay, I can see why it may be a bit basic for some

What I thought was really neat about Lust for Adventure was that the developer wanted to make a porn parody game of wow. As a huge wow fan, I thought this sounded pretty interesting and I have played other lewd games based on wow before and found them to be pretty fun. I think that the developer has the bones for something really cool here and with just a bit more time and a few things fleshed out I could see this being something that is very special.

The Life Of An Adventurer

One area that I think Lust for Adventure needs to have more time spent on it is with the story. We get to create our character and we then set on out a life of adventure where you try to seek fame, fortune, and lots of “booty” if you know what I am saying. There are elements of romancing here, but I wish that there was a bit more story. The quests do have story in them, but I think there could be something more epic here as the little bits of story that are in the game are well done and interesting.

Knowing What You Are Getting Below The Waist

Ok, this is going to be a strange comparison, but hear me out. I think that the sex in Lust for Adventure is kind of like the scene in American Pie 2 where the guys think they are getting hand jobs from these hot chicks, but then they are told they have to do it to each other. There are some very interesting looking monsters in this game, female monsters but most of the sex in the game, or at least what I encountered was gay or at the very least bi. Hey, I have no problem with that at all and it was very well done.

Just make sure that you know this going in and you will not be disappointed. The animations in the battles are a tad rough, but during the sex scenes, I think they are done pretty damn well.

Your Hero!

The game starts with a pretty decent character customization suite. Lust for Adventure does have different classes, but trust me, you want to play as the warrior. The class you play as, apart from your stats and what you can do does not seem to alter the game in any way. I found the warrior by a mile to be the best in the combat department so that is why I suggest that class. The game does have light RPG elements and I think this does actually work in the games favor as there is not a ton of grinding that you have to do.

Questing For Adventure

You click around the various locations on the Lust for Adventure map and this is where you get your quests from NPCs. The quests tend to mainly revolve around the turn-based combat and I was ok with that. I found the combat to be fun, easy to figure out and it got progressively harder as I made my way through the game. I get for some people this may be a very barebones kind of RPG, but I think what is here is done well and I hope that it gets expanded upon.

Pros:

• I liked the character creation suite
• The little bits of story that accompany the quests are interesting
• I liked the combat system in the game
• If you want a game with a heavy focus on gay and bi XXX content, you will love this

Cons:

• The whole game is a tad on the basic side
• I would like there to be a larger over arcing story
