Lord of The Lost Island

With its fantastic art style and pretty interesting story, Lord of The Lost Island is a lewd game that I had very, very high hopes for. As I write this, the developer is still working on the game, and they do seem open to constructive criticism, which I am happy with. I have played all that there is to do so far in the game, and I think with a bit of work, this could be pretty special. I wanted to share my thoughts on this to hopefully get more people to give it a try.

An Interesting Place To Start

On the surface, what we have here with Lord of The Lost Island is a crash-landed on a deserted island kind of story, and let's face it, this is certainly something most of us have seen in a lewd game many times before. However, I liked the setup here as the game is happening when a war is going down and people are being sent away while the way is happening for their own safety. This results in a group of men and women crashing on an island and them having to learn to survive. While this is a porn game, the story has a kind of whimsical romance aspect about it in some regards that I thought was pretty fun.

2D or Not 2D That Is The Question

This game has some of the most amazing lewd 2D art I have seen in quite some time. It has a hand-drawn kind of vibe to it, and the characters look fantastic. If you love pubic hair, you will get a real kick out of this, that is for sure. The animated sex scenes are nice and smooth, and while a deserted island is not a new location for a lewd game to be set, I loved how bright and vibrant this place was, and it has a ton of personality. The characters all have a nice design to them, from the chicks being hot and the dudes being hunks, so it is the kind of game that has something for everyone as far as the visuals go.

Making It Work

I would say that the best way to describe the gameplay of Lord of The Lost Island is that of a management game. You need to chat to characters and, of course, move the plot along in that regard. However, managing resources, gathering items, and fixing up the camp are the main things that you will be doing here. To be fair, this is a very competent kind of game when it comes to the island management aspect of it. There are more than enough things to keep you busy, but not so many that it becomes hard to keep track of. However, for all the good that this game does, it does have a pretty glaring flaw, and I think that flaw deserves some special attention.

Time Really Is Money

The thing with this game is that it plays more like a free-to-play mobile game than it does an actual video game. Pretty much everything in Lord of The Lost Island takes time, and I am talking real time. You send someone away to gather items, you have to actually wait for them to come back, you want to build a new building, you have to actually wait for it to happen! Why is this in the game? This is the kind of stuff you expect in a free-to-play Facebook game, games that are just about tempting you to spend money to speed things up, only there is no option for you to do that here; you have to just wait.

Pros:

• The art is fantastic
• Some of the sex scenes are super hot
• I enjoyed parts of the story
• You get rid of the time stuff, and this is a solid lewd game

Cons:

• That time mechanic nearly ruins the game!
• The story does have more than a few porn game cliches in it!
