Human Fall Flat 2

People lost their minds when Human Fall Flat 2, as it was a game that not everyone thought we were ever going to see. I was lucky enough that I got to check this out, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the game with you. By the time you read this, the game could be fully released, but even though I may be jumping the gun here, I wanted to preview the game and look at why this has gotten me and so many other people super excited!

A Surprise Hit

One of the things that is awesome about the original game is how the “professional critics” were kind of meh on it. Well, this really clicked with the audience, and the reason we have a Human Fall Flat 2 is because the original game sold over 50 million copies around the world! The limited edition physical release on the Nintendo Switch has become a bit of a collector's item, and the game, due it its wacky nature and crazy physics, was something that fans just had a ton of fun with.

Making Your Way Through It!

Ok, so if you have lived under a gaming rock for the last few years, let me take a moment to explain to you what exactly this is all about. What we have here with Human Fall Flat 2 is the same as the original game, and that is that this is a physics based platform game. The idea is to take your little white blob of a guy (wearing a baseball cap) through the level, which is all done via physics based platforming. You can pretty much interact with anything, and while there are certainly things to help and hinder you, you are free to reach the end of the stage in pretty much any way that you want. On paper, it sounds as average as it gets, but there is just something about this that makes it an addictive and fun experience…. Perhaps with a tad of frustration sprinkled over the top.

Kicking It Up A Notch

As I write this, we do not know all the little details of what this game is about. However, we do know that this is going to be taking what the original did and expanding on it in several ways. Human Fall Flat 2 is going to obviously offer many new levels, but there will be new items to interact with, new gameplay mechanics that were not in the original game, and even the physics engine is new! This is a completely new game, and while the idea will be the same, it is going to be control and feel a bit different, and offer you more challenge as a result. The thing is, for those who love the original this is obviously going to be a fun time. However, I do think that for those who tried the first game and did not like it, I am not so sure that this is going to do much to change their minds.

Bob Is Looking Sharp

I have to be honest and say that while he had cosmetics in the first game, Human Fall Flat 2 is going to offer even more cosmetics for Bob to wear so that you can dress him up. This is a lot of fun, and as Devolver Digital are handling the publishing here, I do wonder if that means they may be able to get some fun crossover cosmetics for Bob to wear. I am legit super excited to see what they have for us in this regard. While they very much have the same kind of style as the original game, this does look a bit sharper and more polished.

Pros:

• If you liked the first game, you will like this
• Bob has lots of fun new cosmetics
• It has the same wacky style
• The game has a whole new physics engine

Cons:

• For those who did not love the original, this may not be any better
• While I am excited, a lot (as of writing) is still unknown
