Hero's Harem Guild

Hero’s Harem Guild is a rare bird. It’s one of the few hentai games that appears to be a genuine roleplaying game with lots of minigames and sexy girls that you can get into all sorts of shenanigans with. With a veritable cornucopia of lovely ladies and a surprising amount of gameplay around the stuff you can do with them, this game runs with an interesting story that is funnier and more well written that many of the AAA games you see these days. If you are looking for a naughty game that actually tries to be good in more ways than one, you are looking in the right place. Let’s get into it.

Gameplay

A majority of the gameplay in Hero’s Harem Guild is like a visual novel. You follow a lot of the story beats directly as you are pulled along the plot. That being said, that’s not the entirely of the game. You also spend a lot of time mooching about the town, learning new skills and deciding how you are going to recruit, train, and build relationships with many of the outrageously sexy women that appear to populate your town.

Gameplay takes many different forms in this title. It isn’t just a straightforward you can rebuild the town, build your guild, and improve your relationships with the people you take on. Yes, what that really means is find out exactly how you need to seduce everything around you that moves and then get to some dirty, naughty business.

There is also a guild and asset management system. You can send your team members off to do things and reap the rewards from their work. There’s a lot more to this title than as to what meets the eye. If you want a game that pushes the envelope, this is the one.

Few games have the same effort put in as this one, a good example could be Lilith’s Throne or Sex Arcade.

Visuals

This is absolutely where the game shines. The visuals are absolutely astounding. Sure, a lot of it takes the form of a visual novel so there’s a lot of static pages. That being said, they are fantastically rendered with excellent character designs and backgrounds. Everything from the girls and their outfits to the frying pan hanging on the wall in the background of the kitchen looks like it could be from an animated show.

Now, there are some nsfw sections in this and, I’ll be honest about them, they are great. Many of these portions of the game are fully animated and more and more are to come with every update. There are well over 400 animated sections and well over 5,000 images.

Writing

The story in this game is actually pretty good. You play a simple man who accidentally survives a powerful demon attack. You become a hero of the people, and with that new found responsibility, you must find a way to lay as many of those people as possible. Besides the porn writing, there is a fantastic amount of humor to be found in this title that warms the heart and makes you genuinely laugh. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the moments I experienced in this title.
