It's been a longtime complaint of mine that the content demonstrated in most modern games is sorely lacking. Generally devoid of creativity, and appearing for all intents to be the video game equivalent of an all-action total-fluff Hollywood lackluster film. I'm tremendously relieved when a game comes along that isn't just the same old thing, or at least presents the same old thing in a slightly new and more entertaining package. Sadly, while that happened with the original Headhunter, it hasn't been repeated with this new sequel.

Content aside, the gameplay in this title sucks too. A heads up interface called IRIS gives you the ability to target enemies. It tracks your opponents and shows you a reticule that lets you know exactly where your gun is pointed at any given time. Problem? Your reticule tends to take at least two to three seconds to actually steady on an opponent. Until that time, any shot you fire at your opponent will almost certainly miss.

And forget about smacking them around with a bit of fisticuffs, as it's actually really difficult to initiate hand to hand combat, as you're as likely to shoot the person as hit them.

If you go through the game long enough, you'll start to accumulate weapon upgrades that can make life a little easier. However, the last piece of the puzzle, if you want to use the 'take cover' ability, be warned that it only works on pieces of cover that are at least your height or better. Trying to actually use smaller cover involves a juggling game of moving forward slowly, crouching occasionally, and trying to target an enemy.

All in all, this definitely isn't a title I'd pay full price for. The first game had 'not too bad'? gameplay with a 'not too bad plot'?, and in the end, was a passable title. With the gameplay problems in this one, I can't even give it that.
