Greak: Memories of Azur is an incredible adventure game that combines the best elements from RPGs, platformers, and puzzle games into one rollercoaster of an experience. If this sounds like your kind of thing, then definitely consider trying the game out.

Exploring the lands of Azur

In Greak: Memories of Azur, you take on the role of three heroes as they venture across the mysterious lands of Azur, doing what they can to survive during a devastating war. With no end in sight, the three heroes are desperate to leave the lands and start anew elsewhere, so it’s up to you to help them on their journey. Will they be successful in eventually building an airship to take them to a faraway land? It’s up to you to find out.

Triple threat

The three heroes are siblings, all possessing their own unique weapons and abilities to take on foes with. Greak is a nimble young boy, Adara is proficient in the magical arts, and Raydel is a warrior as fierce as they come. Throughout the game, you can freely alternate between these playable characters, so be sure to give them all a go. You’ll no doubt fall in love with the playstyle of one of these characters though and opt to play them over anyone else, and that’s totally okay! Just don’t neglect the others too much, as you’ll need to take advantage of all your heroes to get past some of the game’s puzzles.

Hand-drawn art

One of the first things you’ll notice when you download Greak: Memories of Azur and boot it up for the first time is how awesome the art looks. All of the characters and environments have been hand-drawn to an incredibly high quality and it’s just fantastic to see. You're going to feel absolutely immersed in this beautiful world right from the get-go.

Platforming and puzzles

The platforming and puzzles in Greak are similar to what you see in games like Celeste and Shovel Knight, so if you’ve ever played those games, know that Greak: Memories of Azur is just as good.

You don’t have to worry about things getting boring and repetitive because fun new enemies, puzzles, and platforming gimmicks are introduced at regular intervals to keep things interesting. I guarantee you’re going to love every aspect of this game.

Pros:

• The game is relatively short, providing roughly only 10 hours of gameplay
