Escape Simulator

I have to say that Escape Simulator looks like it is going to be a great deal of fun. I have always wanted to do one of those escape rooms. Two things have stopped me, one there is none near where I live, and two, I saw the movie and it scared the hell out of me. So this new game is probably the best and safest way for me to take part in some escape room fun.

It Is All About The Rooms

The ultimate goal of Escape Simulator is to of course escape the room and any game that deals with escape rooms needs a good selection. In this game, you are offered 20 different escape rooms and each one has its own theme. The one that is getting all the attention in the trailer is called, Labyrinth of Egypt.

There is also Adrift In Space, Edgewood Mansion, and The Corporation to name a few. I think that this adds tremendous variety to the game and each escape room not only has its own theme, but story as well. For example, Adrift In Space has you on a spaceship that is heading to the sun and you need to figure out how to survive. Edgewood Mansion on the other hand has a more spooky/horror thing going on.

Alone Or Together, Enter At Your Peril!

You can 100 percent take part in all of the rooms that Escape Simulator has to offer in a single-player experience. To be real with you, I think the first time I try the game that is probably how I am going to play it. However, you can also play this online with your friends as you guys work together and try to figure out what you need to do in order to move onto the next room. I am sure with friends that this is going to be a ton of fun, I actually have a feeling this game may prove to be a big hit with the video game streaming community.

Everything Is A Clue

The game is played from the first-person perspective and you will need to check everything. You can pick up books and look inside them, smash open stuff, clean things and the rule of thumb is that if you can touch it, you can probably use it. Some of these puzzles are going to be very tricky and working together I think is going to be key. One feature that I like the sound of is how you can pin a clue to the screen. Some puzzles may require multiple things to solve them and being able to keep something pinned to your screen is going to be a big help.

A Creative Escape!

In Escape Simulator you are able to create your own character. You can make them look just like you or you can go all out and make some kind of crazy looking version of you.

What I am very interested in though is the community escape rooms. 20 rooms is a lot, but thanks to the way they have put in a room editor, in theory there will be a never ending supply of escape rooms for you and your friends to play in!

Pros:

• Each of the 20 rooms has its own theme and story
• Some of these puzzles will really make you think
• This is going to be a blast to play with friends
• You can create and share your own escape rooms

Cons:

• Once you have beaten one of the 20 rooms will the puzzles change?
• I am not sure it will have the same fun factor on your own
