Eris Dysnomia

If you love fast paced 2D action games, you will have a great time with Eris Dysnomia. This had been out for a while in the East, but it now has a full English translation and you can get the XXX patch direct from the developer. This is fun and action packed stuff and it is the kind of game that is very, very addictive due to how smooth the gameplay is and it will have you always wanting to see if you can dish out a higher combo than you did before. I had a blast with this and would love for the developer to make a sequel with even more features.

Fighting Her Way To The End

I know that it sucks to start a review off on a negative note, especially when you consider that I really do like the majority of what Eris Dysnomia is offering. However, there is not much of a story here. We play as a hot and badass chick called Eris and we find ourselves in a dangerous world of monsters and corruption and we need to fight our way to the end to survive. That is pretty much all there is here for the story, there is not much story/text, if anything that will link stages together or even give you a real reason to be doing what you are doing. To be fair, I do think that they were going for an old school arcade kind of style here.

A Satisfying Smack

The best thing that Eris Dysnomia has going for it and what makes up for the lack of a story is the core gameplay. This is a 2D action game and Eris can smack around enemies and land massive, two hundred plus hit combos as she makes her way through each of the stages! The combat in this game just feels so satisfying and fun that you never want to stop playing. The game is always throwing a ton of enemies your way and while it does take a while to get to the boss, the core combat gameplay is so fast paced and so much fun that you will not notice it. I found this to be the kind of game where the time just zooms by as you are playing it.

The Badass Stance!

The core gameplay of Eris Dysnomia is fantastic, but this actually has a lot of depth to it. You can enter a different stance in the game and you can use a really badass scythe to hack and slash your way through the enemies. You can also use a gun as well, I would say that games like Devil May Cry and Dust: An Elysian Tail are good examples of the fast paced gameplay here. You also have several stats as well which tie into a kind of corruption system as you can be grabbed and banged by enemies. The stats and the corruption stuff can lead to buffs and debuffs. I was honestly surprised by just how much depth there was to this game. It has a tutorial that I highly recommend you play as it does have far more complex mechanics than you may think and I mean that as a positive.

Slicker Than Slick

Presentation wise, Eris Dysnomia is just a fantastic looking game in every single regard! I honestly could not be any more impressed by the incredible sprites that make up this game. You get to run through different stages such as a forest, a town and so on and these stages have great parallax scrolling effects which I got a kick out of. There are some very gross enemy designs which made kicking their ass even more fun! The animation is silky smooth and that is a huge reason why the combat feels as fast and satisfying as it does. The lewd content here if you have the XXX patch is pretty fun too, but it is not essential to the game and I would score it just as high if all of the hardcore lewd content was not part of the game at all. The kickass soundtrack is also awesome as it helps get you pumped up for the exciting gameplay.

Pros:

• The main character is badass and so much fun to play as
• The core gameplay here is very satisfying
• There is a lot of depth to the gameplay
• This looks gorgeous with some awesome pixel art

Cons:

• The story is pretty lacking and could be fleshed out more
• You do need to play the tutorial to get the best out of this game

Eris Dysnomia is an erotic beat'em up action game that will show you the true power of a girl trying to just get home. The trip to the city turned out to be successful, but now Eris' road lies through a long abandoned tract running through the forest. But Eris is not a timid person and boldly steps forward, ready to fight back against anyone who infringes on her pure body. As you advance you will meet all sorts of monsters attacking the sweet smell of a woman. Fight them off or let them rape Eris. Whether the girl makes it home or not is only your choice.
