While I did not go into Downfall: A Story Of Corruption with the highest of expectations, it ultimately became one of the better lewd visual novel style games I have played in a while. Most people complain about the lack of animations and I get that, but apart from that, this is a game that is doing pretty much everything else perfectly. I really wanted to share my thoughts with you on this one to hopefully sway you into giving this game a try.

What Makes A Winner?

The main character in Downfall: A Story Of Corruption is a huge boobed very attractive lady that had a good life, a good career, and good prospects. However, one day something goes wrong and she ends up losing it all. We get to basically shape how things go for her moving forward. It is a corruption style of story, but in all honesty, it is one of the better corruption style stories I have experienced in quite some time.

A Steady Pace

What I liked about the story that Downfall: A Story Of Corruption was telling was the speed at which it unfolded. Some corruption style games have the girl turn into a sex craved maniac in like two seconds, others make you go on a brutal grind to get it to happen. This game, I feel has managed to get that balance just right and that was why I found the whole thing so compelling.

Picking Up Those Stat Points

I bet the mention of stat points being in the game has filled you with dread! Do not worry, Downfall: A Story Of Corruption does not make you do the same thing over and over again to grind out stat points. Instead, you get a stat point at the end of each quest line that you do. It is a very easy game to figure out and the progression has you on a clear and easy path that is not trying to trick you or be convoluted for the sake of doing so. It feels great to play and you always feel like you are moving forward.

Give Me Just A Little Bit More!

The one area where I feel like Downfall: A Story Of Corruption could be a bit better is in the looks department. Do not get me wrong, the main character looks fantastic, she is pretty, has a great body, big boobs, and everything else you would want. However, I wish I could actually see this hottie in action! You do get lots of XXX images, but there is no animation in this game. This is a real shame as the game looks great, I just wish that they went that one step further and animated all of the lewd scenes.

Overall, even with the lack of animations, Downfall: A Story Of Corruption is a game that I truly did enjoy. I found the corruption story that it was telling to be paced out nearly perfectly and it always kept me wanting to play just one more quest to see what would happen next. It is the kind of game that could have had a brutal grinding gameplay, but that is not the case at all. My only complaint is that I wish it had animation, if it had animation, this would be a near perfect corruption game in my opinion!

Pros:

I immensely enjoyed the corruption story that was being told
The gameplay is very straightforward
I liked the way the game dished out stat points
It is just fun to play from start to end

Cons:

Animation would have really made this game so much better
The title card is one of the most lackluster ones I have seen, that may be what some people have skipped over this game!
