Disney Magical World 2

Disney is probably the biggest media company in the world, from movies to video games, parks, and more. You know, they kinda hold a monopoly on all magical stuff, and a lot of the multimedia world too but that's not what we are here to talk about today. And even though it may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Disney, they are also big in the video game market. Developed by h.a.n.d. together with Bandai Namco comes Disney Magical World 2, which will delight Disney fans. So, what is this game all about? Is it any good? Well, let's talk about it!

About the game

In this second part, we have a total of 6 worlds. Two of them have been recovered from the first one, specifically Alice in Wonderland and Winnie the Pooh, and the remaining 4; Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Snow White, and Lilo and Stitch have been created from scratch.

The city of Disney Magical World 2 is full of points of interest, secrets and, of course, Disney characters. There are lots of things to do. We could say that the entrance is a commercial area, and that is where all the stores are located. Here, the three little pigs have set up a stall, which is used to customize our house.

The strong point of Disney Magical World 2 is its world. As we said before, there are doors to worlds placed all over the castle area. In the beginning, all of them will be blocked, but if we have a normal pace, we will manage to unlock all of them in a minimum of 10 hours.

A much simpler experience

The premise of the game is quite simple: our unique qualities (having a kind heart, and a certain ability with magic) make us recipients of a letter inviting us to live in Villacastillo, a place that looks a lot like Disneyland. There, we will meet Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, and company, who will accept us as one of the gang and teach us how to "live" within this universe.

As you can see, the premise of the game, and even the gameplay is pretty relaxed and calm, and they are aimed especially at the younger ones of the house. So much in fact, that it could be considered similar to games like Animal Crossing New Horizons, but with a more direct aim at the kids.

If you compare this experience to other games that feature Disney characters such as the Kingdom Hearts franchise, you’ll see that there’s no possible comparison. Those games have an incredibly complex story and plot you need to follow closely and carefully. In fact, it can be too complex for most people to truly follow.

This title is pretty easy to enjoy and love, especially for the kids of the house, but the most hardcore Disney fan will probably have a good time here.
