Dekamara

I am pretty pumped to talk to you about Dekamara today. This is a lewd action platformer and while it still has a bit of work to be done on it. What we have here is something that I think is fun and certainly moving in the right direction. I also have to say that I love how we live in a world now where we get more than just lewd sandbox and visual novel games. If you like action platform games and lots of XXX stuff too, this is a game you have to take a closer look at.

Naughty Girls In The Woods!

So far, I would have to say that Dekamara is not a super story driven game. I get the impression that the developer here was going for a more old school vibe as far as the story goes. We play as an adventurer who needs to save the Holy Woods. You see, these woods are full of sex girls that are obsessed with sex and we need to get in there and turn them into good girls…. By banging them every which way we can. Sure, it may be shallow, but I got a chuckle out of how funny it was.

Cheeky With A Side Of Sass!

While the story in Dekamara may not exactly be super deep. One thing that I do think is done very well in this game is its tone. There is a bit of a dry sense of humor with the writing which is going to get a chuckle out of many players. “let me drink your semen so I can save your data” is what one chick says to you. I get the impression that the writer here was having a lot of fun and they wrote all this stuff with their tongue firmly pressed into their cheek if you know what I am saying!

Slashing, Slaying And Laying… Of Course!

As of me writing this, Dekamara still needs a bit of refinement when it comes to the gameplay. This is a 2D action platformer where we run around, fighting and banging all these chicks. It is pretty much a hack and slash style of game, but they do try to keep it a bit more interesting by having different attacks. The problem I had was that the jumping and then slamming down attack was kind of glitched where I would be stuck in the air for a moment. It was not game breaking, but it was one of a few janky parts of the game. I do see the potential here, but things do need tightening up.

Pixel Babes In The Pixel Woods

One thing I am sure we can all agree on with Dekamara is that the game has a ton of charm as far as the visuals go. I love this quirky pixel art style that they have gone for, it kind of reminds me of a halfway point between a Game Boy Color and a Game Boy Advance game. The woods have a lot of personality and while there could be some more variety as far as the ladies go, I got a chuckle out of the XXX content here that sees our little hero get to have some real erotic fun with these ladies.

Pros:

• I got a kick out of the fun story
• The writing has a bit of a dry sense of humor about it
• The pixel art here is fantastic
• I do feel that the game is moving in the right direction

Cons:

• As of writing, the game is still a fair bit away from being complete
• The controls have a bit of a jankyness about them
