Basement [Alexproject]

Yikes, Basement is a hard game to talk about, as this is a lewd game that 100 percent has you playing as the bad guy. This is a game for those who want a game where you straight-up play as a villain!

Who Have We Got Here?

Look, this is a game that pretty much deals with kidnapping and assault so if that kind of thing is not for you, hey I get it and I myself did find this pretty uncomfortable, but at the end of the day, it is a video game and I have taken out tons of chicks in Grand Theft Auto V, played the hell out of Manhunt and other games where you kill for fun. However, there is just something about the more realistic nature of things here that made me feel way more uneasy than taking out 100 innocent people with a rocket launcher in GTA did!

A Creepy Kind Of Power Fantasy

In no way am I condoning the themes in Basement, but the idea here is that you have this power fantasy where you have this cute girl who would never give you the time of day otherwise, tied up as your personal plaything. You have several options that you can do, touching her, stripping her, and of course, actually having sex with her. This is not just random, and while I guess I would say that it does steer into sex simulator territory, there is a little bit of depth here as the story can come to a different end, depending on how far you take things.

Would You Rather Play Frogger?

Hey, that will make sense in just a second, as the main character that is in this game, not the cute girl, I am talking about the creepy kidnapping pervert, looks just like George from Seinfeld, and he had a thing for Frogger. Anyway, they do a great job of making the MC look very gross and unlikable, but the girl has an innocent and cute look to her, the dark and dingy basement looks good and in all, the game honestly captures what it is going for, but if you like that or not is really a personal thing. Due to the nature of the story here and what the game was about, while I can appreciate that it is well done, I never found any of the XXX content hot here.

Pros:

• The game does make you feel like a villain
• There is more depth to the gameplay than I was expecting
• It is a unique game that is for sure!

Cons:

• The game made me feel uncomfortable while playing it
• I get that it was the point, but the MC is one ugly dude!
