A Night Filled With The Sound of Rain

Hell yeah was what I said just a couple of minutes into A Night Filled With The Sound of Rain, as I knew right away that this was a game for me. This is a “lewd” game, but you have to get a patch to get the XXX stuff. To be honest with you, with or without it, this is a fantastic game and an experience that I am so glad that I got to have. It tells a nice and charming story, and the game has some absolutely gorgeous looking lewd pixel art that completely blew me away.

On A Rainy Night

When I started playing A Night Filled With The Sound of Rain, I was pretty much sucked into this story right away. We play the role of a young man who ends up in a bar on a rainy night, and he meets a woman called Michiru, and there is pretty much an instant connection between the two. The story of the game sees these two get to know each other over drinks, and the story changes depending on the drinks that you get. This is just a very attention-grabbing kind of story, as the writing is very well done, and it makes you actually feel like you are talking to this chick in a bar.

Building A Connection

From what I understand, this game was not originally made in English, but the translation in A Night Filled With The Sound of Rain is very well done, and I cannot think of any major issues that I had as I progressed through the game. The connection of our two main characters is fantastic, and the different lines of dialogue that you would get, depending on the drink you chose, were different enough that it did make you wonder on some occasions if you made the right choice. This is the ideal kind of game for those who want a lewd game where the story has a bit more of a personal touch than just someone who is looking to bang a bunch of chicks.

I Will Have A Sunset Blue

I would probably not say that A Night Filled With The Sound of Rain is the most exciting gameplay experience, but there is a very addictive quality about this game. The gameplay sees you having to make choices as the night progresses, and these choices are different drinks, and each drink will offer you a different bit of the story. The thing is, I had no idea what the potential of some of these drinks could be, so there was a bit of a mystery about this. Other times, there would be some dialogue, and I think it was pretty obvious what a choice could make happen. I could see myself playing through this again to see just how different things could possibly be.

Beyond Pixels

While I would certainly say that A Night Filled With The Sound of Rain is a game that uses pixel art, these are some nice and big, chunky pixels that have a ton of detail in them. The game has this kind of blue hue to it that gives it an almost dreamy like look that I just love. Now, Michiru is gorgeous, but you can actually see her naked if you get the patch, and let me tell you, seeing her fully nude is epic, but I would not say that it is 100 percent needed to fully enjoy this game. Sure, she is hot, but to me, the connection you build with her was what this was all about. Although now that I think about it, the XXX content is extra hot as you do have that more special and personal connection with her.

Pros:

• Michiru was a fantastic character that I grew to love
• I liked the connection that was built as you progressed through the game
• It looks incredible!
• You can get a patch to add in some XXX content

Cons:

• Some may not like how the XXX content is not there by default
• I loved this so much, it left me wanting even more
