I was really in the mood for a lewd visual novel and that was how I came across A New Home. I ended up having a lot of fun with this while I played through the two available chapters. I have also heard that there is a Christmas special due out (maybe out by the time you read this) and I am certainly going to give that a try as I did enjoy my time playing this game, even if it did have a couple of issues with it.

Daddy’s Gone

What we have in terms of the story in A New Home is pretty much a harem kind of story. Now, before you roll your eyes at that, I will say that this does handle the whole multiple girls thing better than most. However, it is the story that all this banging is spread around that interested me. Basically, you were sent away from your family home five years ago and now you get a call saying that your father has passed and it is time for you to come home. You are trying to figure out why you were sent away and what was really going on in this “home”.

Hitting The Gas

I will say that the first part of A New Home is superb! The way the story unfolds and the various choices that it gives you all feel great and help keep you invested is fantastic stuff. The way the story flows is great and I was very excited when a new path would open up. Now, the thing is, it feels like they really speed things up with the second part of the game and while it is not bad, it certainly feels like it has been rushed to bring the story to a conclusion. I think had the pace stayed the same for the second part of the story, this could have easily been a 9/10 game!

So Many Girls, So Little Time

I think a huge reason as to why I got so invested in the story of A New Home was because of how attractive the ladies are. There is a great selection of around six women that you get to try and get it on with. I am very impressed with how different each girl looks and there is certainly a girl here for every guy if you know what I am saying. Now, the lewd content here is animated, but the animation is a tad on the basic side, like a couple of frames per sex scene. To be fair, I will say that I would rather have this than just static pictures so I am giving them a pass!

I had a really good time when I played through A New Home. To be honest with you, I am not sure it is the kind of game that I would play through again. Yet, I was captivated while playing this and while I feel they rushed the ending, I am still happy with the story and the way that it turned out, I just feel like they could have slowed the pace down a bit. If you are someone that enjoys lewd visual novels, I highly recommend that you check this one out as it is good!
