Waifu Outbreak

Chatting to girls and finding the perfect waifu is what Waifu Outbreak is all about. That right there sounds like a great time to me so I was very excited to finally get the chance to place this game. I was surprised at just how much content the game had, as far as I know, this is a game that has been updated quite frequently so I hope the developer is not done with it just yet as I would be very interested to see more.

Serving Coffee And Getting Laid, The Dream!

As you would expect with Waifu Outbreak being a visual novel the game is very story-driven. The idea is that you are a young dude who is working in a coffee shop and you have lots of ladies that come into your life that you want to get to know better. Of course, you are looking for the perfect girl to be your ultimate waifu, but who says that you cannot have a little fun in the process?

I found the story to be pretty good and the writing did make me chuckle on more than one occasion. The whole game has a really light-hearted and chill-out kind of vibe to it and that was something I liked.

California Dreams

The whole presentation has a very interesting look to it. I would say that Waifu Outbreak kind of looks like a dream. The game makes use of some fantastic hand-drawn style characters and they all look very appealing. The backgrounds are also great in that they have this strange dream-like appearance where things are realistic, but not quite 100 percent realistic. I know that does not make sense, but it is an art style that I feel really does make this game stand out.

The music is what you would expect. It is very child and laid back and I feel that it goes perfectly with the way that the game looks and the story as it unfolds too.

Making Coffee And Making It With Ladies

The gameplay of Waifu Outbreak is that of your typical visual novel game, but it does have a few tricks up its sleeve. The majority of the game will have you read what the different characters are saying and then you have to make one of three choices to move the story along and go down a specific route. You also have to deal with text messages too, getting to know the girls and bang them is of course what you are trying to do.

What I thought was pretty fun though was as the game has you working in a coffee shop. You also have a mini-game type thing where you need to fulfill people’s orders. It may not sound like much, but I thought that it was a pretty fun and a nice and interesting way to help keep the player interested.

Pros:

• I strangely enjoyed the whole working in a coffee shop aspect of the game
• The story is very light-hearted which I liked
• The game has a very interesting “dream” type look to it
• Plenty of interesting waifu’s to try and get it on with
• The game has had frequent updates

Cons:

• It might not be extreme enough for some people
• It has a very minimal amount of animation
