Let’s face it: the moment those fancy VR headsets came out and let players immerse themselves into their games almost seamlessly, we knew where it was going. VR Stallion is the kind of game you think most people would conjure as a joke, but it has a surprisingly solid tech foundation that makes it worthy of admiration (and perhaps a bit of fear).
As the name implies, in VR Stallion, the only objective is to interact with the “stallions.” Yes, those stallions – breeding horses. Don’t worry, there are plenty of regular, human women involved, who presumably enjoy the company of their equine companions a bit too much.
From improved character models and animations to a plethora of new customization options, VR Stallion VR 2.3 makes the game even more complete than ever. If you ever jumped into a random furry map in VR Chat and thought to yourself “Damn, this game really needs some realistic horse members,” then VR Stallion is most definitely the game for you.
The Joys of Experimentation
More than just a game, VR Stallion is a tool for VR enthusiasts. While games like Honey Select 2: Libido delved into the capabilities of VR for erotic games, this game fully embraces them. What I mean is it’s clear this game was made with virtual reality in mind, and you simply don’t get the same experience playing it in 2D.
While the locales are a bit barebones – expected from such a young project – one thing I really appreciate about VR Stallion is how performance-friendly it is. If you’ve played a VR game before you know how power-hungry they are, and there’s nothing more nauseating in VR than a choppy framerate. You won’t find that in VR Stallion.
Growing Pains
VR Stallion is a game in constant evolution. Now, the game sits at version 2.3, which adds a healthy selection of new features for players to explore. As I mentioned before, at the moment, you’d be hard-pressed to call VR Stallion a “game.” It’s still more like a tech demo.
However, that doesn’t mean the developers are leaving VR Stallion as abandonware. Far from it. With constant updates and a clear roadmap, I’m happy to report that VR Stallion is strong as a horse, which is great news for those players who like to horse around. I’m running out of horse-related puns, so please bear (or bronco) with me, okay?
Nothing Like It
Enjoy or not, there’s nothing even remotely close to VR Stallion in today’s VR gaming landscape. Even if the subject matter is somewhat “off-putting” for some players, I think this sort of experimentation is great for emerging tech like this. I mean, how else where we going to determine how realistic horse members would look in VR?
With some surprisingly detailed animations, a clear roadmap, and an impressive degree of player interaction, VR Stallion VR 2.3 is on its way to becoming a powerhouse in the erotic VR scene. I mean, a draft horse. There, one more horse pun. I still got it.
More of a tool than a proper game, VR Stallion (version 2.3 reviewed) is an incredible showcase of the “experiences” that virtual reality gaming makes possible.
