U4iA

I was waiting for U4iA - Season 1 to be complete before I played it, as the game was released in chapters, and thankfully, it is fully done. The fact that the developer managed to get this over the finishing line is awesome, and I will certainly be back if there is a season 2. This is a lewd visual novel and one of the best-looking ones that I have had the pleasure to play over the last couple of years. It may be trying to be a tad too clever for its own good in some places, but for the most part, I had a lot of fun here.

Welcome To The Island

There is a real sense of mystery going on with the story in U4iA - Season 1, but the basics are that we are on this paradise island, and it is full of interesting and attractive characters. I would say that while there is a sense of danger, and that there is something off with this place. For the most part, the main appeal here is the slice of life stuff and getting to know the love interests in the game. I felt like the main plot was a bit of a slow burn, in that the writer was trying to be all mysterious and cryptic and then hit us with a big reveal. While it was not bad, I do not exactly think they pulled it off either.

Getting A Moment To Shine

I have played lewd visual novels that have several love interests before, but U4iA - Season 1 goes all in with this! There has to be at least 10 love interests in the game, and while that is great in one way, I mean, variety is the spice of life after all! It does also mean that some ladies get very little development, and some just seem to disappear after a while. It made it so I had a hard time knowing who was more of a serious and main love interest, rather than one who was there just to have a little bit of fun with. Hey, it was certainly not bad, but perhaps a couple fewer love interests and then the rest being more developed would have been better.

Pointing In The Right Direction

While U4iA - Season 1 is most certainly described as a lewd visual novel, it does also have a few extra elements. Well, I saw “few” but what I mean here is that in addition to making decisions in the actual story, and as far as your actions go. The game has a kind of exploration or sandbox type thing going on, where you can press the arrows to a specific location where certain characters will be. I actually liked this and felt it gave the game a little bit extra. Also, I have to say that I really did like how it was very obvious what choices you should make if you did want to pursue a character in a romantic or lust-filled way.

My Kind Of Ladies

Without a shadow of a doubt, one thing that we can all agree on is that U4iA - Season 1 has some of the best-looking ladies I have seen in a game recently. Two spring to my mind, and those are Anita and Elektra, both of whom are top-tier babes. Actually, the prologue of the game has an awesome sex scene with another top babe whose name escapes me as I write this. Anyway, the island setting has some nice and varied locations, and the XXX content is fantastic, and as there are so many characters, you never feel like the game is making you wait too long for a new sex scene or at least a bit of nudity.

Pros:

• There are many, many attractive characters in this game
• The game gives you many choices to make
• I liked how easy it was to know what the right choice was
• While some elements did not grab me, the story is intriguing

Cons:

• Some characters get very little development
• I am not convinced there will be a second season
