TwoSides Reboot

TwoSides Reboot, from what I have read, is actually the third time the developer has started this game from scratch. This is a lewd… I guess an adventure game is the best way to describe this. I say that because it does have a lot of lewd visual novel elements, and there is a bit of exploration and different paths, but there are also parts of the game that are very linear too. The game is not completed as I write this, but there is already a ton of content here to keep you busy for quite a while if you get into the game.

Is It A Power Or A Curse?

The plot of TwoSides Reboot is one that I feel is perhaps a little bit too ambitious for its own good. Hey, the premise is certainly fantastic. We play as a character who lives in a town that has people hooked on this dangerous substance. In addition to this, we are given the ability that allows us to change our gender! The game is very story focused, and the idea is that we can decide what kind of person we want the main character to be, which I think is a great idea in theory, and there are certainly elements of that here…… however.

Ok, I Am Not Learning Your Name!

The main issue I have with the story of TwoSides Reboot is that there are just far too many characters introduced at the same time. It starts off easy enough to follow, but you meet more and more characters, both male and female, and I started to have a hard time keeping track of who everyone was and what my relationship with them was. Also, as there are so many characters, it means that they are not all super developed, making some of them have nothing of any real interest to say. I certainly applaud the developer for creating this large, full world of many different characters, but all those characters do come at a cost.

Take Me On A Ride

Granted, as I write this, TwoSides Reboot is still being worked on, so when it all comes together, it may work great, but right now, it has a few things I would like to see fixed. The idea here is great, you have different stats in like, love, corruption, and devil, which I think is bad. The idea being, the decisions you make will increase certain stats, making you go down certain paths. Hey, this is awesome, and I rolled back my save a couple of times and did notice some pretty big changes in the way that things progress. However, there are some parts of the game that feel quite “on rails,” and that those parts of the story are going where the developer decides. On one hand, I get this as it keeps certain parts of the story focused. However, I do also think that it can then sometimes make it harder to know what choice to make or even what you have to do next. I think just a tad more direction on what you can or cannot do would help.

Getting A Little Hot In Here

The visuals of TwoSides Reboot are quite impressive, and while I did only come across a few sex scenes, I did see some pretty hot lewd stuff and characters in some suggestive poses and clothing. The character designs have a more realistic look to them, and so far, I think that they are on the right track. Some characters do have a bit of a similar look about them, but when you keep introducing new characters to the story, it is probably pretty hard to make them all look super unique. Still, the presentation is very well done, and I did enjoy the sex scenes, but I do hope that as the game progresses, the lewd content is dished out at a quicker pace.

Pros:

• The idea of gender swapping at will is interesting
• I liked the setting of the game
• There are many different characters in the game
• There is something good here that could become something great!

Cons:

• I found that many of the characters were not interesting or very shallow
• Right now, the game needs more focus as it is kind of all over the place
