The Wife Next Door

The whole time that I was playing The Wife Next Door, I could see the potential just shining through! That is not me saying that this is a bad game or anything like that, but I feel like they kind of just scratch the surface of a great idea that they had. There is some fun to be had here, and it is kind of neat how the character we play as is a straight-up bad guy! Yup, there is no disguising the fact here that we are playing as the villain of this story! Sure, this may not be perfect, but I still had a good time messing around with this and wanted to share my thoughts on it.

Cool Story Bro

One thing that pretty much everyone who plays The Wife Next Door agrees on is that the story is not that great. We play the role of a creep who is able to sneak into his neighbor's house. His neighbors being a hot married couple. We have the hots for her and want to take photos of her and post them online to make money. There is some stuff here with the wife not being all that happy with her relationship. However, there is no depth to the story at all here! The translation is not the best during the story scenes, so perhaps that is why it fails to land, but nothing here makes any sense, and there never seems to be anything said or done about what the player is doing!

A Sneaky Kind Of Gameplay Loop

The thing with a game like The Wife Next Door is that it basically has you doing the same thing over and over again. You need to sneak/break into the home of your neighbor, and once inside, you need to steal stuff that you can sell. You need to make sure that you are not seen, and of course, you need to put your cameras into the right place. You can then sell the stuff you have stolen and upload the dirty pictures you take to make money, which can be used to get better camera equipment. You can also drug the wife so that you can have sex with her, which brings me to my next point….

Nothing Else Matters

I touched on how the story of The Wife Next Door goes, but a huge problem with this game is that nothing you do seems to matter in the grand scheme of things. The best example I can give you of this is that when you do drug her and have sex with her, you can do the most dastardly things to her and even finish inside of her most intimate area, and once you are done, nothing happens! They either needed to have made it so that the wife had a feeling something was going on, I mean, how could she not realize that she had been banged??? Or they perhaps should have left this aspect of the game out, which is a shame, as it looks fantastic.

The Hot Chick Next Door

While there may not be any substance to the sex scenes, or if I am being brutally honest, the story in general, in The Wife Next Door. The game does look fantastic, and if you kind of take this like a sex simulator as far as watching the sex scenes go, it can be pretty damn hot. The sex scenes are all done in-game, which is pretty interesting, and I actually liked it. You can pretty much do anything you want to her, which is cool, and I am talking ANYTHING! At the end of the day, I feel that the sex scenes will ultimately be what makes you stick with the game.

Pros:

• I thought that the wife was very easy on the eyes
• There are tons of XXX things you can do to her
• The sneaking around and stealing is kind of fun
• This is a decent lewd game that could be great with some work

Cons:

• The story is as barebones as you get
• The gameplay loop never changes as you progress

The Wife Next Door is an erotic simulator that will show you the basics of proper discreet presence. Your neighbors have beautiful wives. You can take advantage of this by sneaking into the apartment and installing CCTV cameras while they are away. Watch your neighbors' wives on the cameras, steal their underwear, and just tease them with your infrequent visits. Can you become a universal lover for three girls at once?
