If you are looking for an intriguing title to follow in development, then check out 2021 release The Good Life. The game is still in development, but it will bring us into an intriguing world that revolves around cats, dogs, and life in the British countryside. It’s definitely an intriguing idea, with The Irregular Corporation development Swery’s odd and outside-the-box game that is definitely one to try and keep an eye on as things develop.

A mystery within the most captivating setting

The basic premise of The Good Life is quite simple; you are based in a small, rural town in England. In this town, at night, the residents turn into cats and dogs. In the town, you will be expected to try and find the solutions to a murder, where a woman has been killed with a sword. The game itself picked up some interest via crowdfunding platform Fig, though it eventually succeeded on smaller goals via Kickstarter.

The game itself will be partnered up with White Owls Inc. to try and create a game that comes with a deeply interesting plotline. It is set to arrive in the summer of 2021, and looks to be a very interesting title to look forward to.

Uncover the mysteries of Rainy Woods

So far, all we know about the game is that you are going to take on the role of Naomi Woods, a New York-based photography expert. You are asked to go to the town of Rainy Woods where the animal-people seem to live. You will also need to try and survive when in town, taking on all manner of challenges and part-time jobs. Naomi, you see, is deeply in debt and thus needs to make some extra cash, fast, to get herself out of the debt hole.

The game then revolves around you trying to get used to living in the rural countryside in a foreign country. You also get to enjoy a lot of little activities, though, from mingling with locals in the pub to exploring the world as an animal. You even get the chance to solve the murder, which sounds fun.

Though it would be hard to find a direct comparison given the odd nature of the game, the mystery solving nature makes it sound like it could have similarities to anything from classics like Monkey Island to modern iterations like Kathy Rain or even L.A. Noire. It’s hard to say exactly until release, but this is a very promising release well worth keeping an eye on for its nearby release.
