Summer Vacation! Scrambled

I am a fan of this studio, so I was always going to check out Summer Vacation! Scrambled, but this ended up being way better than I thought it would be. This is a lewd sandbox game, a slice of life kind of experience where you just go along for the ride. Now, for me, this was fantastic. I got into it, and I found myself spending way more time here than I was expecting. However, for someone wanting something that is a bit more focused as far as the narrative goes, I can see why this would not click with them, the same way that it did with me.

The Ultimate Summer Time

Brought to us by Illusion Games, Summer Vacation! Scrambled has a pretty fun premise. We get to create our character, and we can pretty much make them anything we want, same for the rest of the gang. We then head to the ultimate summer vacation spot and from here…. We just live our lives! There is no big overarching story, there is no big bad, there is no villain or anything like that we have to deal with. We are just here to have fun and get to know people, and have the best summer ever…. Oh, and if we can get laid a bunch to that would of course be great!

Hanging Out

So if there is no main plot in Summer Vacation! Scrambled, what is the point? Well, the point is to just live your life in the moment and have fun! Get to know the characters and the story here is random, so random characters can hook up and develop a relationship, perhaps there is a love triangle and some drama there, or perhaps someone just wants to discuss something weird about food? You just chat and go with the flow here. I have played many lewd games that have a slice of life style about them, and I think that this one here does a great job of really bringing those easy summer and fun vibes.

Making It All Work

The way that the gameplay of Summer Vacation! Scrambled works is that you just try and live your best summer possible. As is the case with other Illusion Games, you do have a solid character creation suite here, albeit not as in-depth as some of their others. From here, you click around the summer resort and just take it all in. From watching characters get to know each other better, falling out, having sex, or just having a bite to eat, or having fun on the beach. For some people, I can see why this lack of focus and lack of any real quests to actually do would not be great. For me, this was awesome; it felt very relaxing, and it was always exciting when I clicked on an area and saw a few characters hanging out or doing something perhaps a little on the odd side.

Going For That Signature Style!

If you have played any of the other games from this studio, the moment you see Summer Vacation! Scrambled, you know that Illusion are the ones behind this! The characters have that classic anime style, and the resort manages to capture the fun summer vibes perfectly. I also liked how the character creator lets you make monster type characters as well as regular people, so you can get creative here. Also, while this is a lewd sandbox game, the characters and locations are not 2D. This game is in full 3D, and it looks great! The sex scenes are a lot of fun, and as you are actually getting to know these characters, that kind of makes them even hotter.

Pros:

• I loved the beach resort setting
• The slice of life style stories are so much fun
• Creating characters is cool, with a lot of choice at your disposal
• This is perfect if you want something chill and fun

Cons:

• The lack of a main narrative may not be for everyone
• It is not exactly offering a ton of “gameplay”
