Shoplifter Girl: Touching Body Inspection

While it may only last around 30 minutes, Shoplifter Girl: Touching Body Inspection is a fun time with an interesting premise that I had a good time with. The game has a neat premise, some interesting-looking visuals, and I think with just a little more refinement, this could be the kind of game that goes from being pretty good to being great. With this being a shorter kind of experience, it does make me wonder if this is more of a proof of concept and the developer plans to flesh this out.

Missing Merch, Missing Money!

There is not exactly a whole heap of story happening in Shoplifter Girl: Touching Body Inspection, but what is here is kind of fun. We are playing the role of a convenience store manager, and while we have lots of customers, the store is not making as much money as it should be, and in addition to this, stock has been going missing. Well, we are sure that these two cute girls are the ones responsible, and next time they come into the store, we are going to be ready for them, apprehend them, and then make sure we get back all the stuff that they have stolen and maybe teach them a lesson too!

Getting Hands-On

Now, this may sound like a strange comparison, but the only other genre I could think of to compare Shoplifter Girl: Touching Body Inspection to was hidden object games. Ok, so this is not exactly like that, but hear me out. You have the two girls in front of you, and you need to move your hands over their bodies to try to find all of the stuff that they have tried to steal. You have to watch out for other customers so that they do not see you trying to cop a feel as you go. You find the items, you click on them, and then that item has been saved. In all honesty, you can see everything that this game has to offer in around 30 minutes or so, but the premise here is something that I thought was pretty solid.

Showing Some Proof To The Concept

The thing with Shoplifter Girl: Touching Body Inspection is that there are some great ideas here, but the execution needs a little work. There are some upgrades that you can get, but I am not sure they make all that much difference. To be honest with you, I got the one to help me earn more money, and it was a negligible increase at best. Also, the camera is way too zoomed in, and I never felt like I had control, plus the element of the customers seeing what you are up to never amounted to anything. I think that they have a strong set of bones here, but the entire game needs a little more work; that is why I feel like this is more of a proof of concept or even a demo build of something bigger and more polished that is going to come later.

Lay Your Hands On Me

A nice little reference to an 80s Bon Jovi classic for you there. Anyway, Shoplifter Girl: Touching Body Inspection is a great-looking game. The two girls are nice and easy on the eyes, and I liked the kind of 3D anime vibe that the game had going on. As you progress, you can get toys and more sexual things that you can do with the girls, and that is ultimately what you are working towards. I just touched on this, but I do feel the camera is too close to the girls when you are looking for the stolen items. Still, despite the grumblings that I may have here, I think that this is a pretty decent-looking game.
