Wow, Sex Detective is one of those games that I think you have to try for yourself to truly appreciate what this is! This is a lewd visual novel that is, well, let's just say it is interesting to say the least.

A Mystery With A Twist

I wish that I could go into some real depth about the story here, as this is a mystery story. However, the translation here is really bad, so bad that it is comical. It is a shame, too, as there was a part of the story where the person who was behind this series of events was revealed, and it was a shock. However, the lead to get there was not the easiest to keep track of. I think with a bit of tightening up, this could actually be a fun whodunnit kind of mystery story.

They Did It!

When it comes to the choices you make in Sex Detective, it is hard to say for sure just how much impact they have on things that are happening. I can say that I never got into a situation where I failed or I had to restart. The game always kept me moving forward, which leads me to believe that there must be different ways that things can go here. Sadly, as the translation is not the best, I had a hard time knowing for sure what my choices were, and this did lead to me sometimes making choices at random. I will say that the game does not leave you hanging. I did feel like I was part of the story as the choices were quite frequent.

A Clue That Leads To Banging On The Table

They have some very nice looking characters here, and the game in general has a more realistic look, apart from the giant horse penis, of course! Why do so many lewd games go this route? It sure make the main dude hung, but not comically big. Anyway, the game has plenty of sex scenes, and the whole Cluedo or Clue, if you are American, look of things was something that I got a kick out of. I liked how the female characters, even when they were not naked, had a real sexy and sultry look about them.

• The whole whodunnit thing is fun

• There are plenty of sex scenes

Cons:

• The translation makes zero sense in many areas
• Why does the guy have a penis that is so comically huge?
