Sex and Magic

I was very impressed by Sex and Magic from a technical point of view, as this is one very well-made adult game. It is a very linear kind of experience, so if you are on the lookout for something that has more choices or gameplay, you may at first not think this is for you. However, I would argue that if you are into lewd stories, this one features some great characters and witty dialogue that is brought to life with some very impressive visuals that are sure to make you want to keep on playing to see what happens next.

Drama In A Fantasy World

One of the things that I felt was a plus with Sex and Magic was that the game did not try to do too much. We basically have stories that are themed around incest, as you have two sisters in Enid and Wednesday, along with a brother and sister character, and the stories unfold, and you get to experience what these characters go through. I have always been into fantasy, and I think that this game has more than enough fantasy elements to keep the player interested in what is going on. Granted, the story is taking you where it wants to go, but sometimes that is not a bad thing if the developer has a clear goal in mind.

A Special Segment

One of the things that made me want to really check out Sex and Magic was that I heard it had a video right in the middle of the game. Now, I am not going to spoil this for you, but there really is a video that lasts around 10 to 12 minutes right in the middle of this game. It is some hot stuff, but the game once this section starts is locked in! You cannot skip it, rewind it, or even view it outside of the game. It is a rather strange inclusion in a lewd game, but I honestly cannot think of any other lewd game that has something like this happening in it. It made for a unique situation that is for sure, but as cool as it was, it may be what made me not want to play this again, as once you have seen it once, do you really need to see it again?

Ok, They Get A Pass From Me

In addition to the video that happens in the middle of the game, we do have to address something about Sex and Magic, and that is the design of the characters. Some people may argue that these characters look a bit on the young side, and to be fair, I can see the argument for that. However, I have played a lot of lewd games, and there have been times when I have been turned off by creepy-looking characters that are just way too young. But, to be fair to this game, I think that they do not look so young that you think they are under 21. All of the characters in this game could easily pass for 21 and up. The lewd content here is a lot of fun, and overall, this developer knows how to make great-looking porn games, that is for sure.

Treat It Like An Experience

If you have played a kinetic lewd visual novel before, that is pretty much what you can expect from Sex and Magic. There is very little in the way of actual gameplay here as you start the game and then just let it all unfold in front of you. To be honest, this made for a very chill, and kind of hot experience, but it does also mean that this is probably going to be the kind of game that you do not want to play through more than once. In a day and age where we have tons of lewd games coming out each week and tons from the past I have still not played, having a game like this that is not asking a lot from the player is not a bad thing at all.
