Sapphire Safari

Sapphire Safari is a game that I have been keeping a close eye on for a while now. It has been steadily moving along development and has had a few releases, but the official release of the game is still not quite here. Still, I think that this is a fantastic idea for a lewd game and if you are like me and have a thing for monster girls and perhaps a secret little thing for some hot furry babes, this is a game that is well worth your time taking a closer look at.

The Sapphire Islands

The premise of the story that is being told in Sapphire Safari is very cool. A new region that is referred to as The Sapphire Islands has been discovered. What is interesting about this untouched special place is that a bunch of monster girls and furry like creatures call this place home! As this is such a great discovery, a team is sent to explore and find out as much as they can about this place!

A Missing Link!

We come into the story of Sapphire Safari because the team who went to document The Sapphire Islands has gone missing. There has been no contact from them and we as a premier wildlife photographer are sent to take photos and discover what we can about this place. However, there is also a mystery to be solved as we need to find out what happened to the original crew and what is really going down here. For what is essentially a lewd photography sim, this game has a pretty damn awesome story.

Snap!

The easiest comparison I can make in regards to the gameplay is Pokémon Snap, only Sapphire Safari is not on rails. The idea of the gameplay is that we need to explore the different regions and take pictures of the sexy monster and furry girls that call this place home. Like in Pokémon Snap, we can lure them out with various things so that we can get better pictures of them. As this is a lewd game, we are also trying to basically get them to warm up to us enough so that perhaps they may even let us get it on with them. At the moment in the current build I played, the gameplay is rather basic, but I do see a lot of potential here.

More Furry Than Monster

The description of Sapphire Safari always refers to the characters that inhabit The Sapphire Islands as Monster Girls. However, from what I have experienced and again, I do have to say that the game is not yet complete, the creatures in the game look more like furry girls than they do monster girls. Hey, they are still hot, and getting them to do all kinds of sexy poses and even catching them in lewd acts is all done very well. I like how bright and colorful the game is and I do think that if you are into monster and furry girls, you will get a huge kick out of the various character designs the game has.

Pros:

• The game looks great
• Exploring this strange place is cool
• I am really liking the lore and world they have created
• The photography mechanics are fun

Cons:

• I have no idea when this game is going to actually be complete!
• If monster and furry girls are not your thing, this may have a hard time grabbing you

Enter a world where wild creatures roam free and interact together in strange and “intimate” ways. Armed with just a camera and an unending sense of curiosity, your character must venture forth into a fantastic land to take some of the most impressive pictures ever taken in the exciting world of Pok… I mean, Sapphire Safari.

Right off the bat, you know what this game is going for. For some reason, the Big N never exploited the Pokémon Snap gameplay for what it’s worth. Games like Sapphire Safari are there to scratch that itch – and also many other itches, as this game is certainly not as family-friendly as most other monster-catching titles.

Explore and Capture

Unlike the aforementioned Pokémon Snap, Sapphire Safari offers a truly open-world experience. To be honest, the game seems more inspired by Palworld than Pokémon itself. The way the biomes connect and even how your character looks more adult than the average Pokémon trainer are dead giveaways of that fact.

Still, things get decidedly naughtier once you finally encounter the creatures that live in the world of Sapphire Safari. Instead of cute, tiny creatures, the “Monster Girls” in this game are what most furries dream of. Oh, and they’re not as innocent as they might look.

You vs. Nature

Much like in Palworld, the creatures in Sapphire Safari pose more of a direct threat to your character than the innocent Pokémon. In the same vein as Pokémon Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the monster girls are capable of physically hurting you. Unlike Pokemon Legends: Arceus, however, most of the time they decide to sexually assault you instead.

Monster Girls (and Guys) can become a bit too clingy with your character, which can result in unfortunate situations. As the professional photographer that you are, however, your task will be to document wildlife as “naturally” as possible, without disrupting the creatures’ living habitat – and that includes their mating rituals.

Work in Progress

Even though the idea is certainly appealing, there are still some glaring issues with Sapphire Safari that could be mended in future updates. First of all, the animation work is a major letdown. In a porn game like this, having more fluid animations would be a game changer. At the moment, most animations look too stiff, making the game feel more like a beta than a finished product.

That would be the death of some games, but not for Sapphire Safari. The idea is original enough that even people without furry Steam avatars might find some enjoyment in this game. I know I did – and that’s coming from someone with a debilitating addiction to monster-catching games, and not exactly in a sexual way.

There’s some room for improvement, sure – but the basic blueprint is there. And if it gets as good with every update as Palworld did, we’re in for a true modern classic that could become the Pokémon Snap of a new (and very horny) generation.
