Royal Guards of Ethyria

Royal Guards of Ethyria is a lewd tower defense game and it is awesome. They say that it is a lewd visual novel with tower defense gameplay, but it is certainly more about being a tower defense game from what I experienced. This is just such a fun time, it is a well made game with a great art style that is very, very addictive. It is the kind of game where when you fail, it is your fault because you did something wrong. What we ultimately have here is a lewd game that actually has some real gameplay substance to go along with all the XXX content!

The King of Kings!

The premise of the story in Royal Guards of Ethyria is that there is this great King who wants nothing more than to keep his people in his kingdom safe and sound. The thing is, there are all these monsters outside of his kingdom that want the sweet maidens that live inside for their own sexual desires! The King has to use his army of guards in order to fight off the horde!

Putting A Smile On Your Face

At its core, we basically have a monsters trying to bang hit chicks kind of thing going on here with Royal Guards of Ethyria. What I like about the way the story is presented is that it has a lot of charm to it. It kind of plays it all straight, but there are many moments where you can tell that the writer was having a lot of fun with this and things are not meant to be taken all that seriously. I am not sure the story is the kind of thing that will keep you engaged and interested all the way through, but it does serve as a solid premise for why you are fighting back against these monsters!

The Right Guard In The Right Spot

I would honestly say that the original Plants vs Zombies is the best comparison for the Royal Guards of Ethyria! Hearts will drop from the top of the screen and we need to grab them as they are our “currency”. We use this to select one of the brave sexy warriors from the bottom of the screen and we then have to decide where to put them. There is always an army of enemies walking from the right, so placement and strategy do come into play. Different “guards” offer different abilities and attacks and it is utilizing the right guard in the right place where the challenge comes from. I was kind of shocked at how addictive this was and there are difficulty options for those who are not too skilled at this kind of game.

Charming, But Deadly

The presentation here is pretty solid too, but it is something of an acquired taste. The reason I say that is that the lewd content here is all about monsters banging chicks and that is something that I am not always a fan of.

However, the quality of the art in some places is fantastic, although, it is a tad weird you are rewarded with an XXX scene when you fail. The actual game looks great and has a ton of charm to it, from the futa jerking off to shoot enemies to the goddess using her huge goddess powers, it all has a lot of charm that is sure to make you smile as you progress through the game.

Pros:

• I found the tower defense gameplay to be exciting and fun
• This game has some gross monster designs which are cool
• It is way more challenging than you would think
• This is a very addictive game as it is so much fun

Cons:

• Some may not like seeing the chicks get banged by gross monsters!
• If you hate tower defense games, you probably will not appreciate this
