Rebirth: Mr Wang

If you enjoy lewd games that are weird, Rebirth Mr Wang could be the game for you! This is a lewd, I guess, point-and-click adventure game, the best way to describe it. This is a pretty short experience, but I think that serves as one of the game's advantages, as it does not overstay its welcome. However, it does also mean that the story is a little on the rushed side, and by the time I got to the end of it, I had more questions than I did answers!

The Curse Of Mr Wang

The story in this game is freaking weird! Rebirth Mr Wang is about a guy, who you will not be surprised to hear, is called Mr Wang. Mr Wang runs into some kind of weird love/relationship entity that forces him to relive the sins of his past. The game starts off like it is going to have some kind of karma system, as we find out that Mr Wang pretty much just sees women as objects. However, this is never really dived into at all, and I think if they had taken this stuff out of the story, it would have been no worse for it. It is kind of like when in the Halloween movies, all of a sudden, they tried to add in a bunch of supernatural cult stuff to a story that did not need it!

Four To Play With!

There are four girls in Rebirth Mr Wang, that he will interact with in various situations, and each one has her own story with him. To be fair, these may be short, and they do not exactly go into a ton of detail, but I think they more than get the job done, and these range from your typical things like helping out a neighbor, and that leading to something more. Nothing here is going to blow you away, but there is a real strangeness and weirdness to the way the stories play out that just made me want to know what was going to happen next. Honestly, as I said, I think if they got rid of the weird karma stuff that never went anywhere, it would not have been as confusing to follow.

Using The Tools Of The Trade

Rebirth Mr Wang is a pretty standard lewd point and click adventure game. You have some light puzzles to solve, a lockpicking mini game, and a few things that you have to find and interact with. The game does keep you on track with a handy system that lets you know what your current tasks are, as well as giving you a nudge in the right direction when you need it. Nothing here is groundbreaking and will blow you away as far as the gameplay goes. But what is here works pretty well, and the game is over before it starts to become not as much fun to play. Still, I am not sure there is anything that would make me want to go back and play this again, so it is very much a one-and-done kind of game.

Keeping Your Focus

Ultimately, what kept me, and I am sure what will keep you playing Rebirth Mr Wang, is the visuals. This game has some amazing art, the game looks like an animated movie, and there is plenty of animation. Not just during the XXX scenes, but there are bits of animation throughout the game that I really felt added to it. Each girl does only have two scenes, but they are very well done, and the characters in general manage to look both cute and very hot at the same time. The most surprising thing for me, as far as the presentation went, was the sound. There is voice acting in this game, and it is actually very good!

Pros:

• The gameplay was far more fun than I was expecting
• I was surprised by the sound design, especially the voice acting
• This is a solid little lewd game

Cons:

• The karma system in the story feels out of place
• This is not the kind of game I would play through a second time

Rebirth Mr. Wang is a visual novel with puzzle elements. The protagonist has always felt total dissatisfaction with his relationships with girls. However, having succumbed to advertising he found some magicians who promised to help. Now the protagonist has x-ray vision and some problems with the world of gods and demons. Will the hero be able to find a girl with his new ability? Well, use wit and x-ray vision to find out.
