Gameplay

The core gameplay concept in Pokemon Red Version revolves around finding, capturing, and battling your own team of Pokemon. At the start of the game, you can earn one of three unique Pokemon from Professor Oak, including Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander. Each Pokemon has an inherent elemental trait, with Charmander representing fire, Squirtle representing water, and so on. Certain elemental types are more effective against other elemental types, so you'll have to experiment to find out what works best.
