Pledge: Extra Credit is a lewd dating sim/visual novel/sandbox style of game that I had a great deal of fun with. Yes, chances are you have played many games like this before, but this one is done very well and is something that I had a ton of fun with. It has a college setting which is very cliché, but this game plays into those cliches so it is something that I did get a huge kick out of. It is not a perfect game and has many of the “issues” games like this tend to have, but it is still one of the better ones out there.

Party Pooper

Our main character in Pledge: Extra Credit is a feisty sorority chick called Melissa. Melissa has spent the last few years at college, partying and getting into all kinds of shenanigans. Her parents are sick of her behavior and have cut her off! She now only has 30 days to get her grades up so that she can graduate. However, she also has to make money and perform her duties for the sorority as well!

So Much Sex!

There is a ton of lewd content in this game and it does happen at a pretty frequent rate. Thankfully the visuals of Pledge: Extra Credit really are quite fantastic and you get to see a lot of awesome sex scenes in this game. They are animated very well and I have to say that these are some of the better sex scenes that I have seen in a game in quite some time. The whole game has a very decent level of polish to it, voice acting is the only thing that I think could have made it better.

But I Have A Boyfriend

While Melissa starts the game with a boyfriend, there are other love interests that you can hook up with and fool around with in Pledge: Extra Credit. There is a visual novel element to the game where you will have to make various choices not just in the dialogue, but where you will go and what you will do. From what I experienced there are more than a few ways that the story can go so there is a decent amount of replay value here.

Getting Your Grades Up

As you would expect with a game like this, grinding is something that you will have to deal with. To be honest, I have more of a tolerance for this than most, but if grinding out stats is something that you do not usually like, you may struggle here. You have to study, work as a cam girl, perform sorority duties, and so on to get those stats up. It is all easy to do, but like other games of this style, it can feel like you are doing the same thing over and over again. However, I found the visuals and the fun story more than made up for this and kept me going.

I can see why some people may not like Pledge: Extra Credit, but I did have a whole lot of fun with it. I found the whole college story to be fun and Melissa despite being a bit of a spoiled brat was a fun protagonist and you can push the story in a few directions. If you do like lewd games like this, I am sure you are going to have a lot of fun here. I know that the grinding for some people can be a chore, but I do think the amazing XXX scenes and story help make it not so annoying in this game.
