Noah and Black Magician

Noah and Black Magician is one of those games that I had been meaning to get around to for a while now, but I finally had a little bit of free time over the weekend, so I decided to see if this lived up to the hype I had built up in my mind. This is a puzzle platformer that has some fantastic lewd pixel art and a really cool gameplay gimmick that I cannot think of many other lewd platformers using. It is a little on the short side, but I had a fun time with this, and with a second ending, I can see myself jumping back in here and giving this another playthrough at some point.

Activate The Magical Tower

For a lewd platformer, Noah and Black Magician have a pretty fun story. The basics are that we play as a cute chick called Noah, and she has found a strange a magical door in these old ruins. Noah is pretty much nearly dead, but she is given the chance to survive by using a new power, a power to gain new abilities! However, in order to fully survive, she has to make her way to and activate a tower. Hey, it may not be the deepest story out there, but Noah is a likable character, and there is more than enough for you to get invested in.

Who Is The Smoothest Talker?

One thing that did drag the story down for me as I was progressing through Noah and Black Magician was not the dialogue, the characters, or even the twists and turns. It is the dialogue speed! I have no idea what they were thinking here; the game text crawls at a snail's pace, and there is no way to speed it up. You basically have two options. You deal with the very slow dialogue speed, or you press the button, and it skips it all! There is no option to press the button and just have all the text appear. It may sound trivial, but if they added that to the game, I would probably score it at least a half point higher.

Lend Me Your Power

Some people are not all that keen on the gameplay of Noah and Black Magician, but I feel that there is more good here than there is bad. Let me start with the good. When you come across enemies, you can bang them, and when you do this, you will gain a new power, and this new power will be required to solve a puzzle. There are a handful of abilities, and solving puzzles with these is fun. Think of the abilities similar to something like The Magical Quest or even one of the Kirby games, where you need a certain ability to progress past a certain point. Now, the trouble I had with the game was the actual platforming. One of your abilities gives you a higher jump, but for a platformer, your standard jump is pretty pathetic, and it can make it a little on the frustrating side sometimes. Also, in addition to the slow text speed, when you do a transformation, it takes a good five seconds each time, with no way to skip the animation.

A Slimy Good Tentacle Time

If you love lewd pixel art and have a thing for slimy and gross tentacles, you will appreciate the XXX content that Noah and Black Magician has going on. Before that, though, I want to take a moment to say that overall, I love the pixel art in this game, there are some really fun character designs, and Noah is a total babe, too, and seeing her in different costumes is just a ton of fun. The actual sex scenes are done very well, and I appreciate the animation and how well done they are. However, tentacles and monster stuff have never been something that I found hot. Still, I can appreciate it, and I think that it is pretty fun, but it is not something I find sexy.

• The pixel art is very impressive
• If you love slimy tentacle monsters, you will love this

Cons:

• The slow text speed and transformations can get annoying
• Your basic jump could be a bit higher!

Noah and Black Magician are erotic puzzles that open up the mysterious world of archaeological problems to you. Noah is the most daring and kinky archaeologist you could ever meet. It was her passion for danger and passionate encounters that led her to the abode of the Dark Magician hidden behind the walls of an ancient temple. Use Noa's knowledge to solve the temple's mysteries, and her body to bribe its not-so-friendly guards.
