Minotaur Hotel

I knew coming into Minotaur Hotel that this was a gay themed lewd visual novel with a few adventure game elements sprinkled over it. I was very intrigued by the game, and I had heard nothing but good things about it. I sat down to play it one evening, and before I knew, it a couple of hours had passed, and I was completely engrossed in this story and was interested in seeing all of the ways that it could play out. This is just a great game, and you can even play it without any of the nudity, and it is still a great deal of fun.

So I Got A New Hotel

The story in Minotaur Hotel is just incredible, and I am going to try not to spoil anything for you. Basically, we end up getting the deed for this magical hotel that sits on top of a cliff. Once we get there, we find out that the caretaker of this place is a minotaur called Asterion, and he has been forced to work here as punishment. When we find him, he is all skinny and sad, and while we want to get this hotel up and running, we also start to find out more about Asterion and the situation that led him to us and us to him. The storytelling here is great. I truly found myself completely sucked in right from the start.

Treat Him Well

A huge part of the story here is the way that the player treats Asterion. I liked how Minotaur Hotel let you decide what kind of person you want to be. To be honest with you, I wanted to treat him with kindness, but there are other options for you. As well as Asterion, there are other magical creatures that you will meet as your hotel picks up steam. If you are into Greek mythology at all, I think you will get a huge kick out of many of the characters that this game has to offer you. While Asterion is the star, all of the other characters I came across had interesting personalities that made me want to learn more about some of them and put an arrow through the hearts of some others!

Going Through Changes

The early scenes and the stuff where you see Asterion all skinny and hopeless in Minotaur Hotel is pretty brutal, but then seeing him flourish and become more confident is just so very well done. This is one gorgeous-looking game, and while it does have ties to Greek mythology, it is done in a more contemporary way, if that makes sense. Now, as this is a gay game, you may be wondering about the XXX content. While there is certainly sex and nudity in the game, you can actually turn it off, and to be honest with you, the storytelling here is so well done, I do not think that the game suffers as a result. This is not the kind of game that is trying to get by with just having great sex scenes at the expense of the plot and characters.

Running With The Bulls And Running The Hotel

From what I have seen, most places will put Minotaur Hotel in the lewd visual novel category. To be fair, I can see why there are many lewd visual novel elements here, and you will be tasked with making some key choices, choices which can be pretty hard to make, as you sometimes get stuck between a rock and a hard place in this game. However, in addition to this, you can send Asterion out to find new clients for the hotel, resources, and so on, so there are some adventure game-like elements here as well. In all, the game just feels like a lot of fun to play, and the story paths are different enough that I can certainly see myself playing through this more than once.

• I am not sure I can play this and be mean to Asterion

Minotaur Hotel is a visual ero-novella about gay relationships, minotaurs and magic within the walls of just one unremarkable hotel. Asterion is a minotaur from the myths. The perfect guardian of anything with walls. And, in today's world, mazes are not popular. So Astarion inherits a hotel where you can also get lost. Take in other mythical creatures and watch their behavior. Who knows, maybe one of the guests will be able to take not only the room key, but also your heart. Venture into the maze of Minotaur Hotel walls and find yourself in them.
