I recently spent a bit of time with Holy Whore Emily which is a game by the way, not some chick that I met down at my local bar. As I write this, the game is not yet complete, but there is a demo build of the game that you can check out to see if it is something that will appeal to you. While the translation may not be perfect, I got a kick out of the story here and think that they have something. Plus, Emily is very easy on the eyes so seeing her in all her glory and getting banged a great deal will be more than enough to power most people through this game.

Becoming A Virgin!

I have to tell you, the story that Holy Whore Emily is telling is freaking weird! We play as the Bishop of Kynaston. We have an adopted daughter called Emily and in order for the people to be happy and prosperous there needs to be a “blessed lady” who is a virgin and seen as some kind of holy figure in the community. Well, Emily could be what the town needs and it is up to us to try and help her on this quest, but as she is so cute and has her own sexual urges, this is going to be easier said than done.

With A Super Straight Face

The thing that I got a kick out of with the story in Holy Whore Emily was the way that it played it all so straight. This game almost feels like a parody in many ways and to be fair, I am not sure if that is because the tone is taking everything so seriously or because the translation makes it that way. Either way, I got a few chuckles out of how over the top the “drama” about her becoming a virgin was. I mean how does someone “become a virgin”? Well, I guess you will have to play the game for yourself and find out. I would advise not taking it too seriously as you will have a lot more fun with it that way.

Working Those Stats

As a game, Holy Whore Emily is pretty solid, even by playing the demo you can tell that this is a far deeper and more complex kind of game than you would think. You have various stats that you need to work on as you “train” Emily on her quest to become the virgin that this town has always needed. The gameplay loops takes place over a couple of years and the idea is that on each day you have three different things that you can do. What you decide to do will decide the direction things go on. You have different endings that you can get and even a couple of bad endings that can result in the game being over.

You were supposed to read that in the voice of the Bowling For Soup singer, if you did you are cool and we can be buddies. Anyway, Holy Whore Emily has some truly amazing art. It is all that hand drawn kind of art that just pops thanks to the excellent use of color. I was so impressed by the game, it has a whole host of amazing XXX content and I liked how we could have sex with Emily, but we do also get to see her getting into some hot situations with other characters too.

Pros:

• I thought the plot was cheesy, but also kind of fun
• Emily is a very cute character with a real XXX side
• I was impressed with the gameplay and how much depth there was to it
• The XXX content is amazing!

Cons:

• Some may find the story hard to follow
• Grinding some stats can be a bit annoying as you would expect
