Hail to the Chimp is an unusual multiplayer party game developed by Wideload Games and released in 2008. It combines elements of arcade action and political satire. The game is set in a fictional animal world where animals are vying for the title of “King of the Beasts” after a lion, the former king, has been banished. Players take on the roles of various animal candidates who engage in a sort of political campaign to win the sympathy of voters and become the new leader. In addition to politics, the game also touches on environmental issues, power and moral dilemmas, playing them out in a comical way.
