Dungeon of Meat

Dungeons of Meat has several different levels, with checkpoints available every little bit. One of the unique things about this game is that there are always two ways to solve each level. Instead of being forced to follow a walkthrough, you can feel free to experiment because there’s more than one solution.

There’s also more than one ending, with a total of three possibilities depending on how you solve some of the puzzles. If you’ve played the precursor to this game, Dungeon of Revival, you’ll find the puzzles work in a similar way, so look carefully!

Erotic Scenes Only on Defeat

Unfortunately, the erotic scenes only happen if you’re defeated in the game. They can be quite gory, including both sexual scenes and horror aspects at the same time. Voice actors do voice those scenes, but the audio is incredibly poor.

The audio is incredibly muffled, as if the actor was afraid of being heard while doing their lines. This is one case where it’d be better not to have a VA at all.

More Than Meets the Eye

This is one game that people either love or hate. Some people complain the game is too difficult, or that they can’t figure it out at all. Others are disappointed thinking that there are no ‘tricks’ to winning the game like the previous version.

If you feel this way, look around as you play more carefully. The tricks are there. The game has two ways to do everything, so you may have missed the craftier version because an alternative was available.

Some Gameplay Issues

With that being said, there are a few errors that do detract from the game. The controls are a little but clunky, with things like double jumping required to get up steps. This game was translated from Japanese, and here and there are some errors due to it.

There’s also something a bit off about collisions, but there’s nothing game breaking or so terrible it’s hard to finish the game.
