City of Sinners

I stumbled across City of Sinners the other day, and it was actually the same day that the game went live. I cannot think of another lewd game where I just so happened to come across it the same day it had its first release. With that in mind, the build of this game that I played was very early in development. There was not a ton of content here, but you can already see what kind of thing the developer is going for, so while it may not have had a lot for me to get into, I liked what I experienced.

Two Dark Hearts

As of me writing this, there is not a whole lot to say about the story of City of Sinners. However, the developer has made their intentions pretty clear. They want to make a kind of darker kind of story. They specifically mention dark fantasy and survival as real inspirations for the tale here. Currently, you have a couple of ladies in Hana who are a bit more stuck-up and quite holier than thou with their personalities. You also have Naomi, who is super smart but unmotivated. You get to interact with both girls, and the bones for their personalities are there, but they do need fleshing out, which I am sure is coming.

Going For Something Special

When I first read the description of what the developer was trying to do with City of Sinners, I thought for sure that this was going to be your standard lewd visual novel. However, that is really selling this short. Yes, the story is presented in a kind of visual novel style with the way you interact with the ladies. But you can actually walk around and interact with the ladies that are in the game so far. To be honest, for the first release, I never had any major issues in walking around. You just walk up to the chicks, press the button, interact with them, and then you unlock the sex scenes. I am sure this will be expanded on as the game moves along in development, but even if this is just a lewd visual novel, with a little extra interactivity, I think that will work pretty well.

A Hint Of The Dark

Right now, City of Sinners is already a pretty solid-looking game. You just have the house and the side alleyway to move around in, but it is well detailed enough, and I think the game has a kind of PlayStation 3 look about it, which is not meant as a diss at all. There are some great-looking PlayStation 3 games. As of writing, you have a couple of sex scenes, and these are very well done and pretty hot. I am not sure if more girls or locations are going to be added, but even if the whole game is just built around those two girls, that is good enough for me, as they are very easy on the eyes. I just need to see more scenes with them in them.

Easy To Support

In addition to liking the premise of the game and so far liking what I have experienced with City of Sinners. Another reason that I have taken a keen interest in this game is that the developer seems like a good dude. I always like to give a developer a chance, and this one here seems like they are actually trying to make a lewd game that is not just hot, but also fun to play and tell a good story. As I said, this is very early days, but so far they seem very willing to listen to the people who have played their game, and they were actively asking for feedback on what needs to be fixed, what could be better, and just asking for general opinions on the game.

Pros:

• The game is showing a ton of potential
• I liked both girls that I could interact with
• The couple of XXX scenes I saw were hot
• I liked how the developer is interacting with the players

Cons:

• The version I am talking about here is very early
• Many people have complained that the mouse speed is a little slow
